A California trooper has been filmed brutally beating a woman on the side of a highway - but authorities claimed he simply stopped her for her own safety.
A passing motorist recorded the unidentified California Highway Patrol officer as he punched the woman at least 11 times in the head along the 10 Freeway in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
On the video uploaded to YouTube, the woman can be seen trying to protect herself by putting up her hands but she does not appear to resist the trooper.
'The most animalistic, most brutal way to subdue someone is to pound someone's head into the concrete with really big blows to the head,' witness David Diaz told ABC7

That's the political issue.
Those that wrote the book that defined defensive raising of the hands as non-compliance need to be put out of business.

Dude, maybe you need to study a poster a bit before making a clearly stupid remark to your lack of a defendable position. The last thing JRF is is a leftist.
And I’ll gladly 2nd his post!
White Americans, black Americans, they don’t care.
They just like to take stories like this — which are basically — and blow them way out of proportion.
Not that you could trust them, but they were not known for thuggery like the LAPD and many county sheriff departments.
Went to a gym in SoCal where a CHP guy worked out. He was an obvious steroid user. Wonder what his on duty persona was like?
The irony is that many who think they are the opposite of a leftist have actually fully internalized the world view of the leftists, most notably the New Left of the 60’s.
Oh wait. That came from the great thinkers of the Renaissance.

Correct, The adult humans that perpetrated the beatdown as well as the stupid drunk, are both responsible, but still not the business that owns the ballpark.
Walking into freeway traffic doesn't just jeopardize a person who is suicidal (and again, we don't know one way or the other if that was the case here) -- it puts drivers and their passengers in peril as well.
I share your appreciation for truth -- sensationalized accounts like this one are hostile to the truth.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
“One of these days, one or several of the passing motorists are going to se this happening again, and instead of driving by, they are going to stop and mete out some roadside justice on the perpetrator. Right or wrong, thats what is going to happen.
There wont be any way to get the horses back in the barn after that.....”
I’ve had pretty much that same exact thought run through my head more than once. I used to hold the police in the highest esteem. My uncle was an officer who was killed when he surprised a burglar, and I grew up wanting to be a police officer. I have police officer friends and their attitudes toward things like this appall me at times.
We can tell nothing from a snippet of video.
He definitely saved lives.
Perhaps he did give her some extra punches out of emotion after the situation was in hand but none of us can know that.
The rush to judgement is the New Left type of thought where “pigs” are automatically judged as abusers without a fair hearing.

2006.
Get real.
Bundy Ranch came close to being just that — an other Boston Massacre.
That’s mighty convoluted......
In fact, your fascistic support of your brothers in blue has made me determined to talk to the local city manager, and seek to require a steroid blood test as a condition of employment for all LE in my little hamlet.
I'm sure they have nothing to fear, and the union won't object.
When he says no, I'll take it to the locals, door to door. It's what I do. ;)
