A California trooper has been filmed brutally beating a woman on the side of a highway - but authorities claimed he simply stopped her for her own safety.
A passing motorist recorded the unidentified California Highway Patrol officer as he punched the woman at least 11 times in the head along the 10 Freeway in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
On the video uploaded to YouTube, the woman can be seen trying to protect herself by putting up her hands but she does not appear to resist the trooper.
'The most animalistic, most brutal way to subdue someone is to pound someone's head into the concrete with really big blows to the head,' witness David Diaz told ABC7

I hope the cop gets put into a cell with some big black guys. I’m going to walk over to the bars, and say- “Hey guys, want to see something funny?” And then I’ll show them the video of the beating on my phone.
This, my friends is wrong. What kind of desensitizing training do they go through? This is what brutality looks like. She was offering no resistance at all. I think about Brian Stowe when I see stuff like that. Stowe was at a Giants Baseball Game about three years ago. Stowe had a few beers, began mouthing off to some hoodlums. The hoodlums followed him and nearly beat his brains out, all over nothing but beered-up pride and wanting to have the last word. Brian Stowe is in the wheelchair and can’t do anything for himself now. Family is suing the Giants Corporation for poor security. The family wants about 13 Million.
One of these days, one or several of the passing motorists are going to se this happening again, and instead of driving by, they are going to stop and mete out some roadside justice on the perpetrator. Right or wrong, that’s what is going to happen.
There won’t be any way to get the horses back in the barn after that.....
The British papers sure do seem to hate Americans.
