Physics professor and climate change expert Dr. Christopher Keating is offering a $30,000 reward to anyone who can disprove that man-made climate change is real.
Keating, a professor of two decades at the University of South Dakota and U.S. Naval Academy, has challenged climate change skeptics to prove that man-made global warming is not real. Keating is prepared to offer $30,000 of his own money for the “Global Warming Skeptic Challenge,” which has an application deadline of July 31.
“I have heard global warming skeptics make all sorts of statements about how the science doesn’t support claims of man-made climate change,” Keating announced on his blog. “I have found all of those statements to be empty and without any kind of supporting evidence. I have, in turn, stated that it is not possible for the skeptics to prove their claims. And, I’m willing to put my money where my mouth is.”

This is what science has degraded to in the US in 2014- a politicized, agenda driven pseudo science that eerily resembles the “science “ of Trofim Lysenko during the days of Stalin.
The way it works is Keating needs to lay out his hypothesis, provide a theoretical framework for that hypothesis and then experimentally prove his model.
There are people who are offering millions of dollars for guys like him to prove THEIR arguments and no one has yet collected, least of all Keating

As a scientist, he should know better. You can neither prove nor disprove a theory; you can only present evidence that either converges or diverges with the theory. There is no such thing as “settled science”; there is only what is the best explanation for the available evidence today, with the perpetual possibility that later evidence will replace the explanation with one that better explains the later evidence.
If he means global warming then there is more than enough data this it has been cooling. Maybe Piers Corbyn will take his challenge!

He has proven only one thing: that he is not a scientist.
It is impossible to “prove” anything in nature. All we can do is discover, and we must do that honestly to be effective (this is the scientific method).
The real problem is that people accept such nonsense as logic.
