Something’s afoot — I smell a war being waged against the 4th of July.
Anything at all for the libs to take away from America’s fight for freedom and the celebration thereof.
I tend to agree with you. It’s unfortunate that it turned out this way, but I don’t see malice.
There will be a lot of folks outside, and it would be best to play it safe rather than be sorry later that something went wrong.
3rd, 4th, 5th, whatever. As long as there’s a good sale at Target or the Toyota store. Right?
I feel the same way.
(It was General Knox).
I agree
The storm will be at North Carolina on Friday.
On July 3rd 1776, John Adams had written to his wife Abigail:
“The SECOND day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”
Columbus Ohio has been doing this for years. And they do have a great fireworks show.
They probably could not postpone it, if the production people for fireworks and sound and lights had commitments after the fourth.
Preponing it may have been the best solution to having the event at all.
And it still may get rained out.
this should not bother you. What would bother me is if they cancelled entirely- this shows that at least the libs care about contracts and possibly the Fourth.
This is all a prelude to the usual climate change assertions. Most of those asserting this nonsense either live or were educated in Boston.
Has anybody noticed that Labor Day, Memorial Day and other holidays always happen to fall on a Monday? How convenient, we are always getting a three-day weekend.
