There is a major difference between the 2 items. First, contracaptives PREVENT a healthy system from performing. Second, Viagra ALLOWS an UNhealthy system to perform. In other words, one destroys, the other fixes.
Besides that, Viagra was originally under development as a different type of medication, if my memory serves it was blood pressure medicine. The current use was originally an “unfortunate” side effect of the medication. It was almost tossed on the scrap heap....just as an fyi.

Rush, True, the man difference between 2010 and now is that the GOP has actively accomodated the democrats and fought against their conservative base. There will be many of us that will not vote for the GOP supported candidate.

“We” didn’t pay for anything. It was part of an insurance plan that the users decided to purchase. If I want to buy a “complete coverage” program from car dealerships that cover flat tires, then I should be able to.
It was part of the private insurance policies, as it should have been. It wasn’t “codified” into law.
How quickly we forget and then begin to conflate....
Emotion vs logic. Yep, I get it. However, if you simply point out to them that by adopting their emotional stance, that they are accepting that the normal “operation” of the female body is to always have a miscarriage.....
That usually shifts their emotion back towards logic.

Viagra for heart problems should have been covered; it is basic health coverage. Viagra for ED, should not, except at the option of the insurer and probably as is done for cosmetic surgery - on a case by case basis.
