I doubt Scottish independence will enhance Scottish individual freedom. Scotland passed the most restrictive anti-smoking law in Europe, and is proud of it.
Proud simply because they beat England to it. More frightening is that their “leaders” have no clue how the country will make it economically after independence. Highly unlikely after years of dependency and socialism they will embrace making the country an economic free haven.

The SNP are avowed socialists just hiding behind Scottish Highland mythology of being tough guys about to stick it to England as if the Act of Union was some military take over by London.
Scotland has also passed a law that will give every child a government-assigned monitor, since parents cannot be trusted.
I am of Scottish ancestry. As an American, all I can say is that I am beyond thankful that my ancestors left that bunch of tribal primitives behind. It has become a socialist hellhole. All the good ones left.
