This might well be the dumbest article Star Parker has ever written.
Uninformed, stupid, likes race baiting slime ball tactics?
I have no idea what her thought process was in what she wrote.
Ms ping
How can conservatism be pandered to blacks, or other minorities, or whites, for that matter? Once pandered, it becomes something else. Of course, that isn’t a problem for Republicans who can pander with the same meaningless messages Democrats use. But they can’t do it with conservatism, because it isn’t demographic specific, or demographically flexible.
Come one; come all, but come on your own free will, and on your own dime. Shout it out in black churches, at the LULAC, in Chinatown or Wall Street, but the message remains the same. People either correct their thinking to the message of conservatism, or they don’t.
And how much attention did Cochran give blacks prior to the runoff? Just curious.
McDaniels should have won the black community by telling them that amnesty will overrun our schools with children her illegally and that more illegal aliens will result in less jobs available and lower wages.
Race-baiting. Breakfast of Champions.
No, Starr, he didn’t. He trusted them not to commit fraud by voting in the demo primary and then change in the runoff. It simply shows me that there are enough blacks that will lie, cheat and steal -—just like most of the democrats—in an effort to win.
She is right if she adds one more word, black DEMOCRATS!
You mean blacks that are now being found to have illegally voted in both the Democrat and Republican primaries?
So is ‘race just a skin color’ or not? This suggest that it is not. Maybe whites should take heed and start acting accordingly.
Hard work and what is best for the nation will never win out over pork.
Senator McDaniel campaigned to ALL Mississippi with one message to ALL, Conservatism, which is what is needed to save America. Cochran had a mixed message that was lost on Conservatives, his was I’m conservative as in the obligatory slogan, I’ for the 17 trillion debt as long as my buddies get their fair share and you’all owe me. To the democrats his campaign said here’s cash walking around money to vote against that rascist klansman who wants to keep you from voting, and the RNSC provided the money to do this. Apparently to democrat leaders he and the republicans owe them very large sums of public money for their projects around the state in payment for their votes. The naacp also says that rescending Voter ID should also be part of the payment. When Cochran loses I’m sure the democrats will pay up for the republicans in appreciation for the senate seat.
This wasn't a case of not reaching out to blacks. It was a case of not reaching out to Democrat-only black voters to subvert a GOP Primary.
There is a difference, Star.
The black conservatives probably voted for McDaniels the first time around, and since we are not lawbreakers, they would have refused to vote in the runoff.
The big problem is that we are trying to teach a history lesson when it is lunchtime.
I wish black American conservatives would do something their white counterparts also fail to do and hold off on shoot from the hip commentary on some of these racial issues. Usually basing their comments on MSM information. That means get the facts before pulling the trigger and even talking to both sides before snapping the safety off.
The minute both Levin and Ingraham reported those robo calls and the subsequent print racial sleaze attack on the “Tea Party”. They should have gotten on the horn and find out what the hell is going on. I think both Levin and Ingraham would have answered their calls for one, and if they talked to both sides of the issue it may have focused the issue back to the socialists.
They to the best of my knowledge didn’t. If one major black condemed it might have a difference.
This election had nothing to do with reaching out to black voters. It had everything to do with Democrats being encouraged and in some instances paid to throw a Republican primary runoff election. It had everything to do with treachery perpetrated by establishment Republicans against the Republicans of Mississippi who, by the way, voted for McDaniel 8 points higher than Cochran. Total betrayal. Win at ANY cost.
Wow... I did not know McDaniel only talked to white people. This author is a moron.
Star Parker is officially dumb
