Democratic party reaction has been muted, even defensive. The old "there's nothing there" mantra has been trotted out every time another new and relevant revelation comes to light. Come to think of it, this would be the type of scenario a young, community activist, Harvard Law professor would typically get excited about. After all, these citizens are victims.
Alas, these particular victims are tea party folks — an exception to the rule. Such is the way of selective progressive indignation circa 2014. Can you imagine the outrage if the shoe were on the other foot?

Agreed. Possibly More so. The GOP hasn't gone after anyone aggressively since Lurch in 2004. Even that was minor (although effective) compared to the ruthlessness in this primary season.
A Veterans group went after John F’n Kerry, the GOPE distanced itself from any effective attack on Kerry

A lot of conservatives in MS won’t vote for the cockroach Cochran. Same for Mitch McConnel.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the DemonRATS pick up a couple seats.

Things have to get a lot worse before they can get any better. No point in voting for the “lesser of two evils” any more.
Has nothing to do with pouting and everything to do with the hatred and contempt the GOPE has for conservatives.
Well, yes. The campaign went after him hard on the flip flop narrative and it was successful. The veterans went after Kerry’s history and it was highly effective too. Much harder hitting.
