The left hates guys like this because they have girl friends instead of small boys or goats.

Baah, lots of officers had their own shack ups
in every war, at least this guy had her on the
front lines. More power to them.

Read the book! He was betrayed because his work as a Captain was better than most generals.

Ann Scott Tyson, a Washington Post war correspondent, quit her job to live secretly with him on the front lines That was the key mistake. Ann should have keep her job, and then all involved could claim she was an "embedded" reporter.
Yep, poor pun intended.

Rules for thee, not for me. I’ve seen above the rules behavior from officers quite often, especially pilots. This goes beyond petty stuff like grooming standards, customs and courtesies, or other things that don’t make sense for the SF community down range. Anyone over E-7 seems to be a political animal these days, I do not like or trust 95% of these people. Too many people have been screwed because some Master is trying to make Senior, or Senior is trying to make Chief.
Isn’t it kind of foolish to put pictures of your team out for the whole world to see?
To: yldstrk
Interesting, to say the least.

Read the article, he was boozing pill popping adulterer "Show me a hero, and I'll show you a bum."
WW II ace Greg "Pappy" Boyington
By the way, if you delve deeper into Boyington's life, it becomes apparent that by "bum" he meant someone who was wildly out of the mainstream, not someone who was lazy.

This story has been out and about, the reason it is in the news now is because said girlfriend is/has written a book...publicity needed.
