Mrs. Bill Clinton has no business being president of the United States, for all the reasons indicated by Mr. Buchanan.

Nonetheless, the left-controlled media has determined that she SHOULD be the next president and, therefore, it will happen, whether we like it or not.

Hillary is a “place holder”. She’ll be the de-facto nominee until she isn’t. The Democrat electorate swoons for a new face and she ain’t it.

Not only is she not inevitable I doubt she’ll run, and if she does run she’ll probably lose to Biden. VPs are generally the heir apparent, even though they lose almost every time.

“Is Hillary thus inevitable?”

If she runs, yes. I harbor no illusions about the brightness of the American electorate.

> Her memoir looks likely to be remaindered long before it earns her publisher anything near the $14 million advance she is rumored to have received. Somebody at Simon & Schuster is going to the wall.

While I hate to disagree with Mr. Buchanan, he's dead wrong on this point. This is one of the oldest illegal campaign donation / money laundering scams around: giving a politician an outrageous advance for a book that ends up growing mildew in a warehouse. While there may be a token firing of an irrelevant underling or two, someone at CBS Corporation (the parent corporation of Simon & Schuster, CBS, UPN, Paramount, Showtime, etc., etc., etc.) will get a bonus and a promotion for being able to buy Hilary's eternal gratitude so cheaply.

What if the dems pretend hillary is inevitable? Then they don't have to waste money on primary fights. They can "vote the worst" in Republican primaries. And then at the convention or not too much before they can replace her with the candidate of their choosing if hillary withdraws.

That's what I'd do if I were a sleazeball politician.

Well, we've had a skinny homosexual druggie in the White House for 5 1/2 years.

Why not give a fat lesbian drunk a shot?

If not Hillary, what rough beast, its hour come round at last, slouches towards Washington to be president?

“Moreover, there is Clinton fatigue in the country and this capital. Americans under 30 never knew a time when she was not around.”

I’m not so sure about “Clinton fatigue.” And we can never discount the fact Hillary is:
1. The wife of their beloved Bill Clinton,
2. A woman (or at least so we hear),
3. A cold-blooded, ruthless character assassin who will roll over whomever is necessary to implement Obama’s agenda,
4. Backed by a huge network of supporters, and
5. Except for a possible challenge in the democrat primary, faces no strong opposition.

Hillary IS inevitable IF Jeb or Crispy are the candidate running, or in Crispies case waddling, against her.

Serving advance notice that I will not for either one of them regardless who the dem is.

“It is just difficult to see who, among those moving toward the starting gate, can reach the requisite 270 electoral votes.”

Any democrat will have a rock-solid guarantee of 250+ electoral votes in the bag before the first vote is tabulated on election night.

There are bumper stickers all over New England, I understand, saying “Ready for Hillary”.

How comfortable are black Christians in a party half of whose convention delegates booed when it was suggested that God be mentioned in the 2012 platform?

Just as comfortable as a bowl of peaches and cream ice cream!

This is the GOPs’s election to lose, and unfortunately they have a pretty good record at losing sure bets.

(last line in the article):" It is just difficult to see who, among those moving toward the starting gate, can reach the requisite 270 electoral votes."

There is a move being made now , predominantly in Democratic governed States, to eliminate the 'Electoral College' ,
and replace it with highest number of popular votes.
This makes the current southern border invasion of illegal undocumented immigrants all that more significant for the future of this country.
