If Oldman wouldve slammed white Christians or conservatives he would been given an Oscar but alas
he offended the wrong crowd
and now, he grovels at their feet. Check it out. Here is some of the transcript via Today.com
I have deeply injured and wounded a great many people. From my heart, I am profoundly, profoundly sorry and deeply apologetic, especially to the fans because theyve been so incredible to me and very loyal.
Theyre like Team Oldman. Im a public figure. I should be an example and an inspiration. And Im an a. Im 56 and I should know better! I stepped out of my area of expertise and I just landed both feet in a hornets nest.

Video at link. At 3:32 Jimmy Kimmel tells Oldman "you are a great actor so we cannot trust anything you say", well he got that half right. Pathetic.

Sometimes you need to be an a-hole, Gary. Being polite and PC is going to be the doom of us all.

Perhaps he can win the role of Winston in the next remake of 1984.
He gets his mind set right in the end, too.

I knew that Oldman would eventually apologize. Unlike Clint Eastwood, he's not honest enough or powerful enough to challenge PC Hollywood and still survive.
I just didn't think he'd grovel so pathetically.

Oldman gave into the PC gods...he said what needed to be said and is the latest Hollywood victim being crucified for it.
He should have told them to shove it—why does he still need Hollywood?

Too bad, he used to be one of my favorite actors.

I would rather he not apologize.
But its pretty clear how he really feels & I'm glad he said what he did.

Very talented but you can't speak your mind sometimes.
If it's the truth, it pisses people off more.

Too bad, he used to be one of my favorite actors. IMO he's one of the best scenery-chewers in the business. Too bad that the business environment is a sewer.

He’s a darn good actor. My daughter was a big fan when she was 12 (now 39).I would not boycott his films.

Disappointing but predictable. Even people with F You money don’t dare speak their minds anymore.
