(Reuters) - A prominent leader of the Mississippi Tea Party who was arrested in connection with photos posted online of U.S. Senator Thad Cochran's bedridden wife died on Friday of an apparent suicide, the mans lawyer said.
Mark Mayfield, 58, was vice chairman of the Mississippi Tea Party and a Central Mississippi Tea Party chairperson, according to those organizations' websites.
"This is a terrible tragedy that shouldnt have happened," Mayfield's lawyer John Reeves told Reuters.
Mayfield was one of three men accused last month of conspiring with a blogger who was charged with taking photos of Cochran's bedridden wife in her nursing home for use in a political video against the incumbent.

So was this guy actually a tea party leader or is that just what the media is calling him? The BS with Cochran’s wife doesn’t sound like something any tea partiers would do.
Bottom line: they stopped representing the "tea party" when they took those pictures.
Multiple articles but not much info at this time:

IIRC, the blogger was actually linked to Cochran in other words, he paid somebody to pose as a McDaniel supporter and then take the pics of his own wife.

Better question: Was he working to prove fraud in the election? Was he preparing to file a case to challenge the results?
Seems odd to say the least.
This hit the news to smear McDainels. What this guy did was despicable and pointless, but losing this right now shows that Cochran Establishment people are totally bankrupt morally.
Mississippi becoming the new Arkansas —
Who was this guy?
Tea’d off....
He probably was a Cochran man posing as A Tea Partier whose usefulness to Cochran was over. He learned several lessons the hard way, not the least is that dead men tell no tales.
