I never thought I would see the day when there were participants in this forum openly advocating voting for a liberal Democrat.
Yet that is what many are doing in advocating Kentuckians vote for Alison Lundergan Grimes.
This makes no sense unless one is a liberal or leftist anti-American or are unable to move beyond emotion and irrationality or a nihilist mind set that lets anger, fear, lack of faith and hatred dominate one's logical faculties.
Alison Lundergan Grimes was born in 1978. That's the year I graduated High school. Many here are older than I, and in politics, at 53 I am not all that old.
This liberal Democrat leftist, Alison Lundergan Grimes, is 36 years old. She is a baby in politics.
If she wins this seat now she will be in the Senate for 40 years.
By contrast, McConnell is an old man who will be gone after this term.
Those supporting the liberal Democrat leftist, Alison Lundergan Grimes, for Senate are going to simply make possible another Feinstein, or Boxer or any such left wing corrupt Marxist-thinking Senator with a Seat-For-Life.
Setting up a permanent seat in the Senate for a liberal leftist Democrat in a state where it is possible to avoid this plague, is not a good idea.
It may feel good emotionally to see the reprehensible, Mitch-I-want-to-punch-the-Tea-Party-in-the-nose McConnell lose, but the negative consequences are greater than the fleeting enjoyment of seeing McConnell lose.
Taking out a leader is more than just taking out a senator or rep, it is taking out their tenacles, their networks, their hold on all sorts of perks, and their toadies. That is why Cantor’s loss caused such an audible gasp among the elites.
I support this strategy. I would like both, but if mcconnell is necessary to hold the senate, then a boehner loss will send a mighty big message — fear us. Right now, they don’t fear us. First, they must fear us.

Here’s a hammer.
You may either smash your own hand with it, or strike out at your tormentor - who claims he is serving your interests by working against your interests.
You are saying conservatives should continue breaking the bones in their own hands.
Tell us what McConnell has done to fight the democrats and Obama.
As minority leader give us specific examples of what McConnell
has done.
The GOPe’s will give it to you, as long as you enjoy taking it.
Voting for a democrat is almost always a bad idea, I would suggesting finding a conservative 3rd party candidate on the ballot (there almost always is one) and voting for them instead. If there is not a 3rd party conservative then either skip that race or do a write in. Mitch declared war on Tea Party conservatives and said he would crush them thru out the country. I do not expect many TP Conservatives to be voting Mitch in Nov. It’s not smart to reward your enemy with your vote, not smart at all.
You can withdraw support for a crook without signing on with Satan.
“...tell us what McConnell has done to fight the democrats and Obama?”
This makes zero logical sense unless you are under the impression that Grimes has fought or will fight the democrats and Obama.
Your post is an example of what I mean by emotion and irrationality.
Don't like? DON'T LIKE??? It not that we 'don't like' the Republican what we don't like is the GOP Establishment taking a dump on our heads, calling us racists, promising to give away OUR tax money to dependent welfare leeches, lecturing us that we have to give Amnesty to the 3rd World hordes they let in to the country and then have the gall to demand that we for them. The GOP can go straight to hell.
Ouch, but, right. I'm done with the lesser of evils. These days, (D) or (R), we're headed in the very same direction (RomneyCare, anyone?) At least with the D's, we'll get there quicker and there'll be much less backstabbing along the way. Dunno about y'all, but I prefer to have the enemy out front where I can see them. I say, bring it on.
Absolutely correct — this is exactly what I did in 2012: I went w/ Gary Johnson (former gov of my State) rather than vote for ObamaClone Romney.
For the longest time the argument was we needed to support the candidate that was the best we could get in an area. With Bevin and McDaniel we had better candidates than we had in that area but due to the vanity of the leadership they were betrayed.
Not just abandoned. They were attacked and treated awful.
I can not support the RSCC anymore. I will vote Republican as I please and abstain otherwise. But I will not support immoral men ever.
Liberal republicans like McConnell must be politically destroyed to save the Republic.

YES!
My keyboard goofed so I had to restart. “Unethical”
Mitch McConnell is a vile and dangerous oligarch. He will not retire and he will not step down as leader of the republicans in the Senate. That means he must be removed by the people. They failed in denying him the republican nomination in the primary so the only recourse left is to remove him from power in November.
Of necessity, that means that a democrat would take the seat. So be it.
It does make sense.
You just cannot provide any examples, because there are no examples
to provide. You will have to do better than GOP good, RATs bad, especially
after the despicable race run by the GOPe’s in MS.
As long as there are people like you who take it, the GOPe’s will certainly
give it.
I hate McConnell, would never vote for him, and would fight like hell if I could stop him in the primary.
But I will never support a Democrat. They're defending the IRS, their guys in the WH, stalling and blocking every step of the way. Once Obama's Muslim brothers have finished with Iraq, they're moving in our direction. There's much more at stake today than RINOs. Our future, kid's futures are in danger.
Get your priorities straight. Politics isn't the big issue right now, stopping ISIS, the IRS, EPA and the rest is what has to be done. And please, no lectures on the master plan to get rid of the GOP, no time left for that.
It is easier to fight a known ENEMY, than the Democrats AND our own party “leadership.”
