President Obama is now reaching terminal velocity, like a skydiver plunging toward earth. Except he doesn’t have a parachute. There’s a mighty splat coming soon.
With his approval rating at 40 percent, down 6 points from early June, and just 29 percent of Americans convinced the country is on the “right track,” the president is doubling down on his strategy of blaming Republicans for his failures. And he’s shifting into hyperpartisan drive, traveling the country to campaign for Democrats, many of whom wish he’d just stay away.
Worse, the news just keeps getting well, worse: The Veterans Affairs scandal is blazing, with new horrific details emerging weekly; Congress is gathering kindling on the IRS scandal, which sends shivers of fear up the spines of wobbly Democrats; House Speaker John Boehner is fired up and plans to sue the president for his unilateral (and constitutionally banned) executive actions; and the rest of the world looks about to burst into flames.
But three things have happened this week that will make the president spin out of control as he plummets toward the ground.
America’s economy is in free fall (and even Team Obama can’t fudge the numbers to make things look OK). When the administration in April put out the rate of growth for the first quarter, it said the economy had grown by 0.1 percent. Last month, it changed the numbers: The economy had shrunk by 1 percent. And on Wednesday, the Commerce Department said oops, make that 2.96 percent — the 17th worst GDP quarterly performance in U.S. history.
What did the White House say? Uh, bad weather. But there was much more to the massive drop, according to economist Peter Morici.

The “splat” happened a loooooong time ago when half of this country voted for one giant lame ass community organizer!
After 2012 when the regime triumphed in the face of 8% unemployment (13% actual), $4 gas, surging food prices, and trillion dollar deficits to the horizon, I realized that the dynamics of elections in the US are totally changed.
You’re probably right. Doing the math that puts about 130 million on the dole of some kind.
No wonder we’re broke and in hock up to our ears.

I’m pretty despondent on the whole demographics thing.
Every year 2.48 mil (mostly white, majority R voting) people die.
Replaced by 2.52 mil (heavily minority, heavily D voting) people.
Spent a couple hours 2 days at the local maternity ward with my daughter. Most of the kids being born are future Democrats, and most of the births are paid for by current Republicans.
Well that sounds good but Obama does not care what people think. He still has 2.5 years to wreak more havoc on the country unless he is removed from office. So basically its all bad.

Don’t forget the union workers, plus the federal, state, and local bureaucrats. Trial lawyers. Secular Jews and Muslims. Academics, journalists, lobbyists, government contractors, and wealthy businessmen reliant on government (Warren Buffett, silicon valley, green energy companies), the Hollywood crowd, Ivy League grads, people on extended unemployment benefits. When you consider all of the parasites living off a $3 trillion dollar government, 29% seems low.

Yes, but the splat will be the sound of our country being completely destroyed. The Soros Adminstration really does not care what the public opinion polls say. We are all just too ignorant to know what is good for us, anyway.
I am sure that there is a handler specifically tasked with assuring the Narcissist-in-Chief that the people all really love him and it’s just some nasty tea party type who is skewing any poll numbers that Obamugabe happens to see.
Meanwhile, President Jarrett keeps the country on track to head into the abyss.
I was privileged to have grown up in a time of America’s greatness. It breaks my heart that my grandchildren will be growing up during its breakup.
He’s starting to look pretty damned stupid even to the great unwashed simpleton masses.

I hate to burst your bubble, but most are not really paying attention. As long as they can keep up with the KarTrashians and get the latest phone app, they are not concerned. By the time they even realize that we have fallen down the hole it will be much too late to do anything.

I've thought a lot about the very same thing and it's not a pretty thought but a real possibility.
Two of ours are out of college and having a hard time finding any promising work, three more follow that are in middle and high school.
I guess what really lights my fire are that there are so many do-nothings that feel they are owed a living with millions more illegals being welcomed by this administration, it's more than a little frustrating.
Well after his presidency, unless something monumental happens.
All I can say is that I am glad I have my faith to get me through whatever is ahead. I feel in my bones that it is not going to be pretty.
I'm telling you from personal experiences lately that the disapproval in the polls is real and probably even underestimated.
Until the next election depending on whether it helps the Dems or not.
Maybe one of these days Obama’s going to crack under the pressure. He’ll probably try to nuke Texas or something, who knows.
