Rep. Darrell Issa forced a White House attorney to testify Tuesday as he and other GOP lawmakers seek answers on why years' worth of emails from ex-IRS official Lois Lerner have disappeared.
Tensions flared almost from the beginning. The chairman of the House oversight committee, shortly after White House attorney Jennifer O'Connor began to testify, accused her of being a "hostile witness" when she did not immediately answer one of his questions.
"I'm not a hostile witness," she retorted.
"Yes, you are," Issa, R-Calif., said. He later clarified to say she is "non-cooperative."
O'Connor was brought before the committee because of her work with the IRS in the latter half of 2013, when she was brought on to help the agency respond to congressional requests for documents pertaining to the IRS targeting scandal.
Her appearance itself was controversial. The White House initially blocked her from appearing. Issa then issued a subpoena late Monday, and the White House reversed course, making her available to testify.

Darrell Issa , Mike Rogers and John Boehner all talk the talk, but refuse to walk the walk, - - - - they are not good for America.
They all whine and moan about being stonewalled by the Commie Obama Administration, but NOTHING effective happens, except for the formation of the Benghazi Committee under Trey Gowdy.
The House RINOs had their chance for OVER FOUR YEARS and have done NOTHING, proving that they are not good for America, PERIOD!
It is time to mow down the not good in the House, ASAP!
Suggested actions:
* “Encourage” your Rep in the US House to force Boehner to resign, before August 1, 2014.
* “Encourage” your House Rep in the US House to force do-nothing Chairmen such as Issa and Mike Rogers to resign, before Labor Day, 2014.
* “Encourage” your House Rep in the US House to publicly support Republicans who have proven that they have placed Country before Party.
While the RINOs may get re-elected to the House, we need to have them as far removed from any leadership role as possible.
The RINOs have failed to even slow down the Obamanation of America, even though they held the power of the purse for four years.
If a RINO cannot be voted out of office, then he/she must be relegated to a position subordinate to a fire-in-the-belly Conservative Republican Representative such as Trey Gowdy.
Early Primary voting begins soon after Labor Day in many States.
Most voters have made up their minds about who to vote for by Labor Day: Tick-tock, FReepers, Tick-TOCK!

Why did the House panel have to ‘drag’ him?
Was he not able to walk?
Did he refuse to walk?
How far did they have to drag him?
Was he injured from being dragged?
Did he get grass stains on his suit?
How many House panel members were involved in the dragging? Were they all Republicans or did Democrats help?

Well, the White House was politely asked, refused, and so Issa had to issue a subpoena.
It should be pretty clear to her that her boss didn't want her to testify, so the conclusion that she is a "hostile witness" is not without foundation. She was "forced" seems to me to be a poor choice of words. "Subpoenaed" would be more truthful, and less questioning of Issa's motives, IMHO.
And this is from FOX NEWS saying she was DRAGGED!! Good freaking grief, Fox is becoming like MSNBC!
Just cut all IRS funding relating to Obamacare and then knock off an additional 50%. Maybe next time they will be more careful with their emails.
There are different views about he should ask or pose his questions but I think that in trying to remain as unflappable as possible and with a straight face, ask probing questions of Koskinen and O'Connor.
Then zeroing in on their answers.....letting the American people witness first hand about how thoroughly corruptible, dishonest and arrogant these government "employees and servants" are - people whose salaries "We the People" pay but worst of all, have to answer to when they come after us, telling us that we are GUILTY 'TIL PROVEN INNOCENT!
Which we can never, ever prove!
Im flabbergasted no one has asked how the IRS would handle the supervisory and enforcement of Obamacare given their inability to manage their own internal emails...then they would be granted our medical records etc. Truly government incompetence at its starkest
DISMANTLE the IRS. There is no place in a “free” republic for a GESTAPO filled with arrogant deceivers. End the agency.
