Note the range of the first shot, the age and physical fitness of the officer, and the area he was hit (the buttocks).

Now, if one shot from that range to the backside is enough to bring down a bull moose of a guy, how can there possibly have been the need to fire FIVE almost point-blank shots against a 96 year old guy half out of his head from infection?
