Frankly, telling the truth about Obama has to be disparagement.
I will agree not to disparage our president when aging hippies agree not to disparage Nixon.
Unfortunately for us Obama has already demeaned the Presidency of the United States along with the nation he claims to represent.
Obama is an unmitigated disaster that will take decades to repair the damage if it can be repaired at all.
This is one pResident that deserves all of the ridicule that can be thrown at him.
obama flubbed spelling this. he tried to sing/speak it and failed.
I guess they missed all the ugly things that were said about Bush. And in the case of Bush, they were unmerited.
In the case of Obama, you can’t say anything bad enough, in my opinion.
A man in a seat of vast power has no business belittling those who think differently than him. Intelligent public debate of the issues is far more suitable for a man in the office of the Presidency. But he refuses to subject himself to a fair debate of his policies, but routinely mocks those who disagree with him.
An office holder conducts himself, as he does, in a way that is beneath the office he holds, and refusing to stand up like a man and debate his critics over his policies, should be held accountable in the only remaining way his constituents have left: through open criticism and ridicule. He has brought it on himself. Hiding behind the office he holds, in this case, is sheer cowardice and clear provocation of the nation who put him in office, that is if one stretches to believe that he did not conduct widespread election fraud to win the second election.
Exactly! Listen to any one of his speeches if you want to hear him disparage someone or a group. But no one can do it back?
Ah... I was doing an over/under in my head about when the race card would be played - halfway through. That blows most over/under bets right there.
Mr/Ms Author - were the attacks on President Bush more respectful? I don’t seem to remember them being restrained in the least, even calling him a “chimp”.
Mr/Ms Author - are you proposing that we’d support this president’s policies if only he were white? Uh huh...
Mr/Ms Author - or is it that the president’s skin color is supposed to shield him from criticism because he and his supporters are too THIN skinned, not dark skinned, to take criticism?
Yeah, right. “Chimpy McBushitler”, wasn’t it? Spare me, Laura.
Incredibly easy.

Wonder if Laura was writing this same op ed in the years between 2001 and 2009. Somehow, I suspect not. In fact, I’d be willing to bet money on it.

To defeat the gun lobby, gun-control activists need to get out of late-night local cable and embrace the Internet

As such, that's why the late Ronald Reagan described it best with a well-known Russian proverb: doveryai, no proveryai (trust, but verify). And unfortunately, we've pretty much verified that President Obama is not doing the things that could make our country better.
I'm sure she expressed similar high-minded thoughts during the years 2000-2008.
