A spokesperson for police in the district of Hochsauerlandkreis in the German Federal State of Nordrhein Westfalen, reported the accident.
The German armed forces and a spokesperson for the German Air Force confirmed for the magazine Spiegel Online.de and the daily Bild, that the military plane was a German Air Force Eurofighter.

It sounds like there were two fighters involved in a supposed exercise and a corporate lear jet goes down.
How does that happen.............
bttt
the George Soros rumor?............
Soros?
The rumor is going around by some financial people that Soros was on that plane Just a rumor. Not in any media report.
Here is more on the story
Yeah—my thought too. But where did that rumor come from?
So you have to fighter jets in the area supposedly doing training and a lear jet supposedly chartered by the German military goes down.
Sounds strange
There is a guy on Twitter who is hooked into the financial world..especially Russia.
It appears the rumor on twitter started from him but not sure.
“So you have to fighter jets in the area supposedly doing training and a lear jet supposedly chartered by the German military goes down.”
Maybe they were practicing intercepts on a dissimilar aircraft (smaller and slower) and they had an “oopsie,” or whatever that is in Hun-speak.
some one’s flight plan wasn’t checked against notams or anything else.....
Great so now rumors get thrown around.....come on folks let’s at least not try and out Alex Alex
It could be...but they would already know it was part of the exercise.
Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
that really isn’t anything more than the first story.
I have no problem with stating a rumor is a rumor. That is exactly what it is..and anyone trading the market should be well aware that rumor is going around right now.
You never know what will cause a flash crash.
It’s in English and not subject to mistranslation by a Google Translator for pete’s sake.
Stop crapping on this thread.
Relax.
Around the world, there are various contractors who provide electronic warfare training for military units, using specially-configured business jets. L-3 Communications is just one of several who offer this service:

Not saying this was the case in Germany; the skies over Europe are extremely crowded, and this might have been an incident where the Lear stumbled into military airspace, or the Eurofighter got outside its MOA.
Limited flight space is one reason the Luftwaffe has spent millions on flight training in the U.S. They’ve had a presence at Holloman AFB, New Mexico for decades.
