An Arizona lawmaker plans to entertain so-called "chemtrail" conspiracy theories at a public hearing this week.
State Sen. Kelli Ward (R) told the Havasu News that she's heard from some constituents who were concerned about contrails from airplanes having an effect on both the mercury levels in their bloodstream and on the local weather.
"I have gotten a lot of communications from people who are concerned and there has been a sense that no one has been doing anything for them to address those concerns,” she told the Havasu News. “I can’t do field tests on the water, but I can connect them to the people who do.”
Those who ascribe to the chemtrail conspiracy theory believe the wispy clouds that trail behind flying jets, which are really just frozen water vapor, are chemical agents sprayed deliberately by the government to control the weather or cause health problems in the population.
The scientific community says that's all bunk. The communications director for Arizona's Department of Environmental Quality, Mark Shaffer, told the Havasu News that his department regularly fields inquiries from Arizona residents concerned about chemtrails.
"Our standard response has been that there is no credible scientific evidence about chemical spraying or geoengineering," he told the newspaper.
Ward, who gave an anti-government speech in support of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy back in April, told the Havasu News that she's confident there are no issues with local air and water quality. But she wants the ADEQ to reassure constituents who believe that the government may be altering those resources or the weather through chemtrails.
“Every time they do chemtrailing there is some dramatic change in the weather. I noticed it this weekend and then it got very windy,” Havasu County resident Jennifer Cramer told the newspaper. “I’m not a scientist and I don’t know what’s in the (chemtrails). I think we have a right to know instead of worry about it every day.”
The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday at 5 p.m. local time at the Board of Supervisors Auditorium in Kingman, Ariz.
I suspect crooked airport personnel allowing crooked waste disposal operators to dump toxic waste into JP8 tanks. Not enough to significantly affect combustibility but enough to create a toxic exhaust plume.
Anybody standing in an open space around here will see spraying almost daily. Some days, the tic TAC toe patterns that eventually puff out or trail visible streams of microscopic particles stretch over large areas
These “clouds” may dissipate relatively quickly, but I have seen it take much longer and then sometimes , they do not fade away, they all get carried inland over the Central Valley.
To those who laugh, go ahead, the dinosaurs laughed at asteroids.
The term is Geoengineering.. Meant to alter the atmosphere by injecting stuff into it over areas you wish to ‘control’ for whatever reasons.. Reflect more heat back into space, artificially. Folks like bill Gates supports it, almost every climate change guru is onboard as well as many high gubamint officials worldwide and the UN too.
YEah, just keep ignoring it, it’ll go away. It’s just some wispy clouds after all. d;-)
Yep, just contrails and contrail shadows.
The shadows are what people see ahead of the planes when the sun angle and conditions are right.
I have been battling chemtrail believers for a very long time.
There’s a book written in 1942 by a fighter pilot that describes in detail the contrails made by his plane, and how they behave and how they sometimes last a long time.
From the book “Flight To Arras” by Antoine de Saint Exupery, written in 1942 about a military mission in 1940:

Looks like our fiendish sign nailer got some results. Very unfortunate.
I spend a lot of time outdoors also. My buddy and I are big sky watchers. Based on the contrails left by planes it’s pretty easy, especially during drier times, to predict rain.
A lot of people who believe in chemtrails see cause and effect.
I believe that when the contrails are more pronounced and last longer that the atmosphere is ripe for rain.
