It is terrifying that something as simple as this can be used to rally a rabble. I don’t believe those calling for reparations actually expect to get forty acres and a mule; I believe it is just to get non-blacks to accept the idea of American blacks as wards of the state (along the lines of American Indians) to be tended by productive people so they don’t have a care in the world.
It is already the reality; they want it enshrined in law.
