Holy Lord,

We bless You at all times and Your praise shall continually be in our mouths. Our souls shall make boast of you, Lord. We magnify You and exalt Your Name, for Your eyes are upon the righteous, and your ears are open unto our cry. Your angels encamp around those who fear You, and You deliver us. We thank You that those who fear You lack no good thing.

Father, our men and women in the military need You every hour of every day. May their steps be ordered by You and may You delight in their ways. Thank You for the message of the Gospel, Father, and the Gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. May each member of our military believe on His Name that He is Your Son, and that believing, they may have life through His Name. We confess that You are their strength in the time of trouble and You will help them. You will deliver them from the wicked and save them because they trust in You. Father, please give Your angels charge over each of them to keep them in all their ways.

Lord God, we pray for Israel---for the protection of her people and the defense of her borders. We pray for the Gospel to be sent forth there and that there would be a plentiful harvest of souls for Your Kingdom. We pray that new disciples would be born and would commit their lives to You. And we pray that this world would be changed through You, Lord---one heart at a time.

Father, we know that our belief in Jesus must not be motivated simply by a desire to avoid hell. Make us servants, Lord, and true lovers of our Savior. Help us to be disciples, willing to take up our cross daily for You. Jesus, Messiah! Name above all names! Blessed Redeemer; Emmanuel. In Your Name we pray, Amen.

Amen to your wonderful prayer! I also pray that we would trust You, when we see evil prospering and your people; all citizens being mistreated for politics. IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered his prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His Manifold Blessings upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.



AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and gather them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission.
