The soon-to-be Chinese father was getting ready to go to America. His wife, due to give birth to their son any day, was already there. Like any expectant parents, the Shanghai couple agonized over how best to prepare for the arrival and upbringing of their firstborn child. American citizenship, they decided, was one of the finest gifts they could bestow.
At least 10,000 such Chinese babies were born in America last year.
Naturally, a thriving business catering to these tiny foreign passport holders has developed. The Jia Mei Canadian and American Baby Counseling Services Center, with offices across China, charges between $30,000 and $40,000 to women who want to deliver babies in the States. The fee includes a plane ticket, accommodation in Los Angeles or Chicago in a two- or three-bedroom apartment or house, plus all the citizenship paperwork for the newborn. Women spend two months in the U.S. before delivery and one month postpartum. Nannies, drivers and a chef will be shared among three women, promises Jia Mei. Of course, Chinese-speaking doctors will be on call.

We cannot have open borders and a welfare state.
One could almost say that the baby was being Shanghaied.
You could have just called ladies, geez.
Well we do.
That is until the middle class collapses.
Then bring on the 'Workers Paradise'.
My daughter had a baby in January.
Spending a few hours in the maternity hospital over a couple days, I can say quite conclusively:
1) Huge majority of babies are future Democrats
2) Majority of deliveries are being paid for by Republicans.
All part of the DemocRATS’ “Copulating for U.S. Citizenship” (CUSC) Program.

My question is why would these mothers with their babies even WANT to return to China?
These taxpayer financed babies will grow up to condemn the people & culture that allowed their parents to immigrate here in the first place.
Guy asks blonde Mom: "So, now that you have 3 kids, do you want to try for 4?"
Blond Mom says: "Oh, no! I read that every fourth child born in the world is Chinese, and I'm not that broad-minded."
“We cannot have open borders and a welfare state. “
I rarely make the connection between Chinese immigrants and welfare state.
Can you please elaborate.
I connect welfare with inner city blacks and poor rural whites.
What, they ran out of cat and dog recipes?
Any Chinese couple that can afford a three-month stay in the U.S. is doing very well over there. The dual citizenship for the baby is just insurance.
Wait, does she want to have an American baby (meaning that she is an American citizen and/or she is impregnated by an American citizen and wants to raise her child as an American in America)
OR
Does she just want to drop her litter on US soil so that she can join the FSA?
Big, big difference.
Think twice.
Once you agree, if you have any DNA in that kid, the state will hold you financially responsible.
Just look at what lesbian women have done to the gay men that ‘donate.’ They end up donating their earnings for 18 years.
It gives the kid the right to move to the US without any immigration hassles. Is also eligible for presidency after 14 years of residency and being age 35.
Very smart move, just to have two countries where a person can walk in without any immigration hurdles.
The practice is not limited to Chinese parents. There is a cottage industry around the practice.
The parents don't immigrate to the US. They stay long enough to have the child, then they go back to their home country.
The child grows up with an option to move to the US without any immigration hassle; and, being "natural born" (which apparently does not require a person's parents to be US, nor does it require being raised in the US), is not ineligible for the presidency.
It also makes it easier for the parents to “escape” China under chain migration rules.
What nationality is the father, now?
It taxes the welfare state through chain migration. This includes all anchor baby families, not just Chinese:
