Abdication has a price
The Washington Post ^ | June 19, 2014 | Charles Krauthammer

Yes, it is true that there was no al-Qaeda in Iraq when George W. Bush took office. But it is equally true that there was essentially no al-Qaeda in Iraq remaining when Barack Obama took office.

Which makes Bush responsible for the terrible costs incurred to defeat the 2003-09 jihadist war engendered by his invasion. We can debate forever whether those costs were worth it, but what is not debatable is Obama’s responsibility for the return of the Islamist insurgency that had been routed by the time he became president.

David never cursed Saul, even when Saul was more concerned with crushing David than he was with defending Israel against its enemies, and David was a man after God’s own heart. I wonder how difficult it was for him; I know how increasingly difficult it is becoming for me.

I work with Dem-dopes who walk around saying ‘but this isn’t Obama’s fault.....it is the people under him who are at fault’. This comment applies to EVERY SCANDAL. What is happening is exactly what Obama wants. He is sliding all sorts of lawless things under the radar while people are trying to stop all the lawlessness that has already happened.

If the idea was to kill terrorists, Bush did it right. It’s best to kill them where they stand to fight. We had the military and weapon systems in place to kill as many terrorists that the Islamofascists could possibly send in. Too bad the left surrendered during the lull, but before the job was completely done. Obama pulled out and the emboldened terrorists are flooding in again.

Churchill said, after Munich: “[T]he terrible words have . . . been pronounced: ‘Thou art weighed in the balance and found wanting.’”

One part of the Iraq strategy was to make it a magnet for “Dead Enders”, where we could off them right and proper, without having to hunt their little hienies all over the ME and Africa....

Community organizers make awful Commanders in Chief. We knew that in both 2008 and 2012 but too many voted based on skin pigmentation, not skill.

The bastard King Barry has not only aided, he's encouraged and supported with US military aid and/or air-strikes every single radical Muslim action that's taken place since he took office, including if anyone bothers to dig a little, Boko in Nigeria. The question isn't whether or not he's to blame for the current situation in Iraq because he absolutely is by any standard that's been applied to every US President since Wilson.

The question is, where are the mobs in the street demanding Barry's removal and trial?

It's a disgusting shame that the average US citizen no longer even pretends be involved in governing themselves other than enjoying their freedom to bitch and moan on the Internet, but that's the history of fat and happy democracies throughout history.

The degree to which the military has been complicit in Libya, Egypt, Ukraine, and Iraq, though, is an entirely different sort of betrayal of the Constitution. That's not a betrayal due to apathy or sloth. It's a betrayal borne out of self aggrandizement at the expense of the nation that requires knowledge and malice aforethought. This is a case of entire commands being willing to look the other way as they are directly employed as agents of armed, vicious, anti-American, terrorists, who have a history of slaughtering Americans both within the US and overseas.

Those within the Military who would swim against the tide see no public support for them risking everything to stand up speak out. The same is true of Congress. In both cases, recent history has led those who are in positions to resist someone like King Barry to measure public sentiment by what size mobs and protests are in the streets. After all, Barry was elected, then reelected. That's quite a tide to swim against in a nation now dedicated to democracy first and the rule of law second.

There are no mobs and mass protests in the streets, hence, there is no real opposition to Barry.

Remember this Presidency, it's a watershed moment in history. Either the citizens of this country will realize they have to actually take charge rather than just "play by the rules" while they bitch, or it's the first step along the trail Sulla blazed when he marched his legions into Rome. The trail that led inevitably to Caesar ending what little remained of the Republic.

American citizens need to either beg God for the spine to get up and get in the streets, or they need to beg God to be merciful enough to send us an Octavian first without the incremental steps of Sulla and Caesar.

JMH, and long winded, Opinion.

And many of those who did not vote for that arrogant pos are called racists, even though they have never voted for a democRat and never will.

David. Thanks for the jolt. I was pondering him yesterday. He tells us everything, warts and all. He starts early on as an adult as what is essentially a leader of a “biker gang” shaking down folks in a protection racket. He gets his first wife from a stubborn victim who wouldn’t pay. Think about it. He goes on from there to even worse yet God loves him! Brings tears to my eyes.

There are five thousand bureaucrats manning the largest US embassy ever built in any foreign country in Iraq. So no soldiers to keep the peace, but five thousand paper pushing gov. union workers. Why so many? and no soldiers?
