I say they change the name to the “7th Calvary”.
If they are forced to change their name, because the name “OFFENDED” someone, then any one can force any company to change their name because something in that company offended somebody. I can see it now. There will be lawsuits for “PLAYBOY” to change their name, because their articles “OFFENDED” 30% of the women in this country. We can go on all day and find every company has offended somebody and they must change their names to make it “POLICALLY CORRECT”.

[sarc] I think they should all just change their names to flower names ... that way the Redskins, Blackhawks, Vikings, Cowboys, etc. won’t be offending anyone. We’d have beautiful, happy names like the pansies, petunias, daisies, marigolds, lilies, roses, etc. They would have to stay away from names like black-eyed Susans. Just think of what color combos the uniform designers would be able to come up with! The football teams might even attract more women fans (and others who like color & fashion - wink wink) if they went in this direction ... just think of the flower-themed shirts, pocketbooks, etc. they could sell. Dump the manly, macho & go for more middle of the road .... might even convert Obama from basketball to football .... flowered mom jeans would fit right in. [/sarc]

I just voted a few minutes ago. Then I saw your post and checked it out. Sure enough, it’s gone! They had gained quite a few ‘no’ votes, so you’re right, it must have been deleted when it wasn’t going the way they wanted!

I’m kind of partial to “Noble Savages”. That would make a few heads explode.
In other words if it goes the way they want they'll declare it as fact, debate over but if it doesn't then they'll just blow it off.
