Iraq is already lost!!! It gets worse....Obama has lost the entire Middle East and North and SubSahara Africa to his Muslim terrorist brothers!!! The USA under Obama and the Democrat Party is now the laughing stock of the entire world!!! Hey.....Obamabots...out there.....How’s the Obama “Hope & Change” working out for you!!! Nah....I’ll ask ya again, after Obama’s Muslim terrorists come to pay America a not to welcome vist!!! You Obamabot folks are not-too-bright!!!
“Obama has lost the entire Middle East and North and SubSahara Africa to his Muslim terrorist brothers!!! “
Recall that his slip of visiting “57 states” probably refers to the 57 states(?)/ groups of the muslim Caliphate. It wouldn’t surprise me that in 5 years the Caliphate is once again, and that obama is chosen as their leader. You know, the “great uniter” that he is. Or at the least, their ambassador to the U.S.
So which side, in this sordid tribal argument, are we suppose to choose.
He also said that the US shouldn’t become the Shiite air force.
It’s. Not. Our. Problem.
Why did the US train ISIS?
Why did the US weaponize ISIS?
Now you know why Obama will do NOTHING of substance.
Good luck with that, General.
On the other hand, if you want a qualified home decorator, the US Army is there to provide.
I don’t understand. We left Iraq. Obama said the terrorists (one side or the other) were on the run and decimated. The Iraqi were pushing us out and wanted us gone really really bad.....
Now all of a suddent we are needed back there?
I’ll pass........
President Jarrett disagrees.
What has been reported in the media is that Petraeus said that he’s against the US Airforce becoming the Iraqi Airforce.
No General, the only correct option here is to ‘slash and burn’ all remaining assets and get the hell out to fight another day.
He has said very bluntly, we can't be Iraq's airforce:

This is a civil war that could have been prevented with a SOFA agreement way back when. But, Obama failed to get that agreement. That opportunity is gone. If we take sides in this conflict, joining the Shia & Iran against the Sunnis, we will severely damage our relations with other Sunni dominated countries - Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, ......
And what do we achieve if we "win". ISIS will fade back into Syria, leaving the Sunnis at the mercy of the Shia & Iran. This will strengthen Iran greatly in the region & infuriate our Sunni allies.
Obama will only make the situation worse. He is mentally, emotionally, & ideologically incapable of fixing this mess. We might as well have Pee Wee Herman leading our forces. I fully expect him to do something completely outlandish like appointing an openly gay general to lead our forces.
As Sarah P said, let them kill each other. That's infinitely better than sacrificing our brave military on a fool's errand.
Obama will wait till the worst possible time, and then send in ground troops, to grind the rest of our military into dust.
Reagan did NOTHING when we lost 244 Marines in Beirut. Nothing.
he lost his credibility here so that is why he has to speak publicly in London.
I think they didn’t dig up his secrets, I think they set the guy up. Which is worse for a general who should have been aware. But what can you expect from the mind that came up with the current rules of engagement.
Take out our allies? Those we armed? Should have been done in Syria, unless that was the training ground. This was orchestrated how many years ago? The one in charge does have more flexibility now especially after purging the military of top hard core (corps) officers. An elaborate plan but someone is getting things done.
I was thinking the same thing.

Petraeus: US Cannot Be Air Force For Iraq Militias ( Sunni vs Shia )

Gen. David Petraeus, the former commander for U.S. military efforts in Iraq, warned that airstrikes to help Shia militias are not the solution to stopping extremists who are seeking to undermine efforts by the country to maintain its own government.
“This cannot be the United States being the air force of Shia militias or a Shia on Sunni Arab fight,”
...
In the past two weeks, ISIS the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), a bloodthirsty offshoot of al-Qaida has been taking over city after city in Iraq and engaging in the mass slaughter of civilians. This renewed violence and undermining of progress has been disheartening for those who fought hard on the ground in the conflict to restore stability and freedom. It is also seen as a growing security threat for the U.S.
While Shia Muslims make up the majority in Iraq, prior to the U.S. invasion, a Sunni minority held power. Moving forward, al-Maliki’s ongoing division within his country will continue to cause problems.
