There are hundreds of aspects of Obamacare that people argue over. But theres one question that matters above all others: does the Affordable Care Act live up to its name? Does it make health insurance less expensive? Last November, our team at the Manhattan Institute published a study indicating that Obamacare had increased the underlying cost of individually-purchased health insurance in the average state by 41 percent in 2014, relative to 2013. Weve now redone the study on a county-by-county basis, complete with a brand-new interactive map. Depending on where you live, the results may surprise you.
Our new county-by-county analysis was led by Yegeniy Feyman, who compiled the county-based data for 27-year-olds, 40-year-olds, and 64-year-olds, segregated by gender. We were able to obtain data for 3,137 of the United States 3,144 counties.
Buchanan County, Mo. sees 271% rate hike for men
Among men, the county with the greatest increase in insurance prices from 2013 to 2014 was Buchanan County, Missouri, about 45 miles north of Kansas City: 271 percent. Among women, the winner was Goodhue County, Minnesota, about an hour southwest of Minneapolis: 200 percent. Overall, the counties of Nevada, North Carolina, Minnesota, and Arkansas haven experienced the largest rate hikes under the law.

"Trust us, because WE were smart enough to make
ourselves, our own families, and our own staff and their families, EXEMPT"
The thing that infuriates me is that the sheeperals would not listen to the facts about what was going to happen,
and it’s even worse that they are still in denial about Obamacare’s serious detriments to this day.
Anyone who goes around preaching ‘equality’ is either a moron or a control freak. We have too many of both.
Most sheeperals preach “equality” as a feel-goodism.
They want to define and support their own definition of righteousness.
This is why when you point out to them that their kind of equality only comes at the point of a gun or bayonet, they freak out and won’t listen anymore. Because that’s where “equality” gets “less than righteous”.
You can’t fix stupid
The Federal Government is an entity that makes a mistaken, and then repeats it over and over again until it becomes THE LAW OF THE LAND.
Correction : change “mistaken” to mistake. Sorry.
If it weren’t for low standards, they’d have no standards at all. That’s essentially what government ‘service’ is all about.
But, but, but, HE PROMISED
“”Trust us, because WE were smart enough to make
ourselves, our own families, and our own staff and their families, EXEMPT”
Might want to out a big black X over Cantor’s face.
“You cant fix stupid”
I call it StupakCare.
Very interesting analysis.
