Question...I’m still on dial-up, so I don’t understand this stuff...what constitutes usage?

I understand that if I download a 1.0 GB movie then I used 1.0 GB towards my limit.

But what if I get online on day one and do nothing but look at FreeRepublic for 24 hours a day....does this count toward my usage? And, if so, at what rate am I using my GBs ??

Any online activity uses bandwidth. Depending on the thread on FR, just text posts on FR won’t use very much bandwidth. But posts with video and pics on it will up your bandwidth usage.

Yes that counts towards your total. Go to some site that pops up adds or plays a video you did not want to see and it stills counts as bandwidth used. Basically any data sent to your ip address contributes to your total usage. Junk mail (if you have your own mail client), junk ads on sites you visit, etc. It all counts.
