Harry Reid’s name offends me —
I demand that he change it.
When he wants to impress the impressionable. Otherwise .... not so much.
Just a wired-up wiseguy, mostly. I mean, whaddayawant?
If I were the Redskins I would change my icon to a redskin peanut. The Redskins have spent a great deal of time and money to generate the goodwill that the name & icon have. If it was approved by the patent office in the past and the team spent many millions popularizing the once derogatory term, how is it that a small group of non representative native americans can suddenly claim ownership of a name?
I think he was a low income lawyer and is now a multi-millionaire.
Change it to the Washington Mormons.
Kinda dropping the veil, are they not?
The left is all about using force to impose their will on others.
And the more someone resists, the more the left will target them.
Bump
Obama's little fans will be taught to salute in celebration of this victory.
I would rather not see the team give into the PC crap.
What’s amazing is how open and blatant politicians like Ried have now become in using the supposed neutral apparatus of Federal Bureaucracy in their political struggles.
I have seen this before - in Communist China.
The NFL logo is still trademarked so only Redskin merchandise bearing that shield would be officially sanctioned products. There would be a substantial loss of income, but it would not mean all such revenue would be lost.
What about Indiana? Indianapolis? The pc list is endless.....
I’m so relieved that Harry Reid and the Obama administration know how to prioritize what is really important.
Good thing everything in the country and world is so great that they can spend time on important issues like a football teams name.
I think we need to truly capture the essence of the city itself. So I give you:
The Washington “Bitch Set Me Ups”...
Many americans still worship the national socialist state, with or without the salute.
If I had the time I would compile a list of all trademarked names which could be considered offensive.
Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima are perfect examples. Both names stereotype the black man and woman as domestics.
These other trademarked names are important because it illustrates how the US Patent office is selectively targeting one organization at the request of the President, who, by the way, should worry about the Middle east instead of this crap.
How about the Redskinks! Or Redskyns, or
