Every one of them except Wisconsin is in the south or west. The women are better looking and the men are more (generally) polite.

I think Wisconsin is an outlier due to the reasons mentioned in post #10. Drunks are very happy people until they get their inevitable hangover.

# 9 The University of Texas - Austin.

The same burnt orange that God put in sunsets.
Oh, yes, we Longhorns are very pleased with ourselves, and are very defiant against A&M. - saber rattlers.

Right, but the Hoover Institute is not associated with Stanford University other than its physical locale on campus.

“9. UT students are elitist and condescending in their thinking, a trait common to the Austin area. Given that no one challenges their belief systems, thats why theyre happy.”
The only people UT students are condescending to are A&M students. And vice versa.

I can’t make out a pattern except they seem to trend South but not that much.
I do know if I was a boy living in Athens, Georgia or on campus at FSU, I would probably have a permanent smile on my face.

And, there you go.
Visited my sister when she was at A&M. The main administrative hall had cowhide for their waiting chairs!
As a Longhorn, I took some offense! Cowhide was intentional, I do believe!
Dang.

Not surprised to see TAMU at the top of this list. Great school, great campus life and conservative values. My daughter enjoyed her college years there.

I have never met a happy liberal.
The one’s I know are bitter with chips on their shoulders.
Actually bricks on their shoulders might be a better term.
