I knew there was a reason I didn’t like that program .. something just seemed to be OFF .. so I stopped watching it.

I think the best response to this would be to act like the scoundrel had personally challenged Bolton to a duel.
Imagine his surprise when he gets a message that his murderous threat has been noted, and to demand a time and a place where he intends to fight to the death, with selection of weapons to the challenged, of course.
I am certain that John Bolton could craft such a reply in a way that was both legal, and would scare the hell out of the dirtbag.
