SAN ANTONIO -- The San Antonio Spurs won their fifth NBA championship, beating the Miami Heat 104-87 on Sunday night to win the series in five games.
Kawhi Leonard had 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs, who added this title to the ones they won in 1999, 2003, '05 and '07. They nearly had another last year, but couldn't hold off the Heat and lost in seven games.
The rematch was no match at all.
San Antonio rebounded from an early 16-point deficit by outscoring the Heat 37-13 from the start of the second quarter to midway in the third.

When LeBron leaves in the off-season and the Heat go back to sucking again, people in Miami will be going, “Who are the Heat?”
Yup. Will there be partying? Sure. Probably a ton of drinking? Yup. Riots? Nope.
I agree with being put off by his arrogance and stepping into the Sterling controversy. That was outrageous. But I do not wish career ending injuries on anyone (except, of course, murderers like Aaron Hernandez). Save the bad karma for those who are truly evil. That would include any leader of N. Korea, Castro, mass murderers, the Clintons, Obama, Sharpton, and Harry Reid.
I could not be happier for this team.
I have! He is every bit of a jerk in private as he is in public. An ass through and through.
Doug, you and I are on the same page. You read my comment. I want only good for LeBron. Maybe this experience will make a ‘real man’ out of him. Though he is a ‘racist’ he is not in the evil mode of Al, Jesse, Barry, Eric, Harry, Nancy or Bill and Hill.
Class beats Crass EVERY TIME!
FR needs a like button for posts like this lol
Gee, I would really appreciate it. What with you being so in with the Big Guy as you seem to be saying. I was just hoping for Karma and fate. A good prayer may go a long way.
I am not PRAYING or even HOPING for La Jackass to get an injury and financial disaster. But let’s just say, better him than someone else.
If it has to happen to someone, and it most certainly does all the time, why not have it be him.
Last I heard, bad things happen. They happen to you, they happen to me, hell they might as well happen to him.
While we are at it: I have been of the opinion that a massive stroke or a tumble down the stairs of Air Force One may solve many of the problems that we have had with the present Commander in Chief.
Heck, Obama never holds onto the hand rails and he always runs down the stairs in an unsafe manner. Also he is a known smoker and dog eater and I heard they have allot of cholesterol.
People Die every day. It might as well be people I don’t like. Too many of the ones I do like are already dead.
If that makes me a bad person, So be it! There are plenty of bad people in the World. I would say we have more than our fair share. Ever seen a Democrat Convention or a meeting of Planned Parenthood? Obama and La Jackass have been to both. Obama even did time in a Madrassa with the Head Hackers.
As for the particulars, it really doesn’t matter. The outcome Is the same for all of us. It is all about timing and technique. Whether his children are there or not is truly irrelevant.
By the way, Governor Rick Perry was at the game.
Oh, well. Guess the Miami team can go back to their booing “fans”, sycophant media and their “Trayvon is a saint” rallies.
Over the next 24 minutes, it was 22-59, Spurs.
Masterful team performance.
WNB.

Pop outcoached the Heat by a large margin. The Spurs' bench came out with great shooting all evening. Go Spurs. Love it that they beat the Miami Trayvons.
