IMHO, it is all up to the Iraqis now. We won them their freedom. If they can’t keep it they deserve to lives as slaves to the Iranians.
In this never-never land we now live in, who but Iran can step up and put an end to the maniacs we trained and armed?
IMHO Iraq is de facto partitioned into Kurdish, Sunni and Shia regions already.
The same is true of Syria. Assad has lost the Kurdish and new Sunni region that extends into what was Iraq.
