The Department of Defense has disbursed some funds to universities so that scientists might study the dynamics of civil unrest — and how the U.S. military might best respond.
It’s called the “Minerva Research Initiative,” and it’s a program that was kicked off in 2008 to “improve DoD’s basic understanding of the social, cultural, behavioral and political forces that shape regions of the world of strategic importance to the U.S.,” The Guardian reported.

The Air Force Office of Scientific Research and the Naval Post Graduate School have NO business whatsoever funding politically-motivated concerns as evidenced in the overall thesis of the ‘research’ described.
This has nothing to do with the defense of this country from external sources. It is about containment and control and is just the first step in that long line of oppression that liberal radicals hope for.
The U.S. government is following the same trajectory as all governments throughout history; they grow and grow and eventually their primary function is preservation of power. Servant becomes master.
More useful would be to study how to deal with a marxist a-hole who rises to power and ignores the constitution. Does the military have an App for THAT?

Depends on how it’s done.
If there is an “act of war” then no violation.
For example, get the illegals to protesting, marching, and rioting in the streets.
People, including a number here, will demand the governors of the states send in national guard to stop the rioting.
Then you have terrorist attacks from foreign terrorist.
Tie the two together.
What you end up with are act of war committed against the US.
With an act of war the Fed. govt. takes charge of the national guard troops which are already in the streets.
That’s pretty much right out of the Weather Underground playbook.
Notice how the same strategy was used at Benghazi.
“Spontaneous” protest followed by “spontaneous” terrorist attack.
Fact of the matter is every terrorist attack since 1993 has followed almost the exact same pattern.
Democrats orchestrate civil unrest, then there is a terrorist attack.
But ... on those riots - those were quelled PDQ. And that was the object of the exercise.
Does this not scare people? What is this government really planning?
Didn’t the gubmint do this subject to death in the 60s and 70? They sure spent allot of resources and money on it back then.
Yes it is scary but more than anything it just makes me sad for my grand kids. I have a feeling they will never know what their grandparent’s knew: What living in a Republic and having freedom feels like.

Once Obama spends all the money on illegals, trips and golf, and other pet projects like abortion....then food stamps/welfare, Social Security, Obamacare and Medicaid; VA will all be cut off...what do you think will be the result?
When the “Gibs me dat” crowd doesn’t get their SNAP or other assistance, there will be rioting in the big cities. Glad we moved out of a massive population center 20+ years ago.
Urban areas will be dangerous at that time, but too isolated will have it’s problems too....take a look at the Argentina upheaval twenty years ago with deaths and looting, the one they had recently wasn’t as severe.
We are not that isolated here. I have a lot of neighbors who think like I do and each has their own specialty. We can barter if it comes to that.
