A former CIA operative described Qassem Suleimani, the head of Irans Quds Force, as the most powerful operative in the Middle East today.
In late 2010, Iraq was mired in a political stalemate after ambiguous parliamentary elections left the country without a government for ten months. At the same time, the U.S. was negotiating with the country's leadership to figure out the levels and legal status of U.S. troops that would remain in Iraq after combat operations ended the next year.

The first black President would be the best answer IMO.
In Filkins’s rendition, Kurdish leaders helped push the US out of Iraq, which makes sense, because I couldn’t figure out how that happened without their help, given that Sunni Arabs wanted us to stay, to guarantee their security, and secular Shiites like Iyad Allawi also favored a US presence because they did not want Iran to dominate Iraq.
As Barry fundamentally transforms the USA, the world is fundamentally transforming, too.
FUBO!! Traitor!!
Bill Clinton?
The Kurds don’t trust the PTB, but I don’t know that I can blame them.
Obama has had 172 golf days since he took office. If he just took 10% of that time to give a s**t about foreign affairs, he would have had 17 days to prepare for things like this instead.
Now things are starting to come into focus. In 2009, with the anti government movement ready to collapse Iran, Obama sided with the regime who proceeded to dismantle any opposition.
It's important to keep those two things in mind. In 2009, Obama was not only working to make Iraq a vassal of Iran, he also failed to offer any support to the anti-government forces in Iran -- who then appeared to have some momentum.
Whose interest was he working for, one wonders...?
“[Allawi] told me that Vice-President Joe Biden called to tell him to abandon his bid for Prime Minister, saying, ‘You cant form a government.’ Allawi said he suspected that the Americans werent willing to deal with the trouble the Iranians would have made if he had become Prime Minister. They wanted to stay in Iraq, he said, but only if the effort involved was minimal. I needed American support, he said. But they wanted to leave, and they handed the country to the Iranians. “
even given everything we know about obama and biden this is still demoralizing to read...
Bump
Wasn’t that around the same time plugs was talking about the great this 0 was going to be doing in Iraq?
Yeah, Ophonybama has pretty much screwed the whole world up, hasn’t he?
A verifiable fustercluck!
As part of that fundamental transformation, I think that 0dumb0shit & chief of staff Dempsey ought to put their brightest & best to the test in this Iraqi hell hole...... put the U.S. army gay faggots & combat women into the front lines. And see how they perform against fanatical Islamic terrorists.
