A day after House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) lost his primary after Dave Brat hammered him on amnesty, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) embraced "immigration reform" on a conference call with Michael Bloomberg's pro-amnesty group and Grover Norquist.
Paul, a potential 2016 contender, reportedly said that "amnesty is a word thats trapped us," and, according to CNN, emphasized, "If you want immigration reform, there has to be openness to compromise." Earlier on Wednesday, talk radio host Rush Limbaugh declared that when politicians in Washington say "immigration reform" what they really mean is "amnesty."

Regardless of how Paul describes it, he is pro-amnesty.

Yes, we need to compromise. We should allow them to apply for citizenship once they are deported.

I had high hopes for Rand, what a disappointment. What the heck happens to people when they go to DC? Is there something in the water that makes them forget who elected them and why? Compromise with the rats means one thing they win we lose.
On a happier note Rand his getting his buck kicked on the net and social media. But to me it will be to late to try and walk this back. He's gone soft on this issue one time to many.

Rand Paul has been pushing the “Big Umbrella” for a while now.
He can officially be called Marco Rubio II now.
My take is that he’s putting far more weight in Linda’s primary victory than Brat’s.

he sees some in his party favoring a 2016 presidential candidate with an immigration policy that would ''round people up'' Over and over and a large list of issues, Rand doesn't just take a GOPe position, he also makes a point to attach a negative sound bite phrase to tag conservative's with.
Almost as though he is building quotes for the future.
