A day after House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) lost his primary after Dave Brat hammered him on amnesty, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) embraced "immigration reform" on a conference call with Michael Bloomberg's pro-amnesty group and Grover Norquist.
Paul, a potential 2016 contender, reportedly said that "amnesty is a word that’s trapped us," and, according to CNN, emphasized, "If you want immigration reform, there has to be openness to compromise." Earlier on Wednesday, talk radio host Rush Limbaugh declared that when politicians in Washington say "immigration reform" what they really mean is "amnesty."

Going to the Senate takes the fire out of people.
Yup, you would think he’d learn. Newt was doing great against Romney until he stepped into it by going soft on illegal immigration. Perry was doing OK until his “you don’t have a heart comment” Rubio was a TP favorite until he joing the gang of 8. Cantor just lost a primary over illegal immigration. You’d think Paul would realize that enbracing amnesty is a deal breaker to conservatives. It is obvious to me that Paul is trying to make himself acceptable to the GOPe. I’m more interesting in someone willing to stand up for the America people then someone willing to bend over for the GOPe.
His arrogance in speaking down to us is infuriating. Who the heck does he think he is? I don’t need his lectures.
If I wanted someone to tell me what I should do and what I should say, I’ll vote for a Democrat.
The good news is that the new GOPe will be easy to unseat. They aren’t as entrenched as the old timers.

No, you must take an oath NOT vote FOR any Republican who gets the nomination unless its Sarah Palin or Tom Cruise, oppps I mean Ted Cruz.
Eventually things will get bad enough in the US after a few more Dem POTUSes that those two will get elected or a civil war will start, fixing everything.
