WEST CHESTER, PaExpecting House Majority Leader Eric Cantor to win his GOP primary in Virginia, I spent Election Day in Pennsylvaniainterviewing angry Republicans, Democrats, and independents about the rise of political populism.
I was in the wrong state, but I had the right topic. Cantor's defeat has less to do with immigration reform than it does with an uneven movement that should frighten conservative and liberal political elites to their shallow cores.
Americans see a grim future for themselves, their children and their country. They believe their political leaders are selfish, greedy, and short-sightedunable and/or unwilling to shield most people from wrenching economic and social change. For many, the Republican Party is becoming too extreme, while the Democratic Partyspecifically, President Obamaraised and dashed their hopes for true reform.
Worse of all, the typical American doesn't know how to channel his or her anger. Heaven help Washington if they do.

All of us know people who are extremely capable. I hope they decide, just like Brat did, to throw their hat in the ring. I think he, Cruz and others have shown it can be done. This election also show the patriots of America really have to get behind these people when they run.
I'm hoping more step up who have a pro-American, free markets, less government, strong defense, border fence, repeal Obamacare, no amnesty, balance the budget, lower taxes and decreased regulations platform and I think he/she would win. The winning platform really isn't all that complicated. I think the pendulum is swinging back to where most real Americans see the wisdom of such a platform.
Still hoping Sarah Palin decides to run. Storm the Republican National Convention and We the People nominate her!
Populism to a leftist like Fournier is very different.
On Hannity today, Brat said that he ran his campaign TOTALLY according to the Virginia Republican Creed, which is bedrock Conservatism. And he added that no other Republicans are doing so.
I’ve said it before, REVOLTS AREN’T WON BY VOTES.
We should be surrounding their buildings and houses with torches and pitchforks. These lowlife scumbag parasites have destroyed this country.

HELL YEAH! I’m definitely down for it.
Yeah, he thinks it's the proles asking for more socialism.
Breitbart reports the mega-rich George Soros, the politically-connected Mark-Zuckerberg, are colluding w/ wealthy and politically-connected individuals to foist amnesty on struggling Americans. The Chamber of Commerce's business interests are organized against Americans--- aiding and abetting the "cabal of white privilege."
=================================================
Americans are struggling, some have no jobs, some in jobs w/ stagnating salaries. But the "cabal of white privilege" is conspiring against Americans-----to take their jobs, their livelihoods, and give them to people who do not even belong here....who broke laws to violate our borders.
============================================
It was a slap in the face of every law-abiding American that the Guatemalan Counsel complained about the conditions the children were being kept in US facilities.....as Obama colluded w/ the Third World and was jet-streaming aid in the form of legal assistance and billions of tax dollars.
This is an outrage---the swarm of illegals at the border have TWO governments looking after their interests.....
Struggling Americans have NO govt protecting their interests.......only the "cabal of white privilege" conspiring against them.
“Telling Joe Bag O Donuts that less government solutions are the answer just doesnt resonate with most people and is inherently counter intuitive.”

No, it doesn’t but sometimes you can’t resist doing so anyway. I have told some of the, “The government ought to do something about that” crowd that I cannot understand why people are incapable of realizing that the government is NOT interested in solutions, government thrives on CREATING problems and offering FAKE solutions that only worsen the real problem which in all too many cases was a fake, manufactured by government, problem to begin with.
The so-called health care crisis did not exist at all until government tampering began and every intervention created problems that had not existed beforehand and every “solution” offered only worsened the problem that the government created in the first place. In my lifetime we have gone from a country where you could walk into a doctor’s office, give your name, sit down and be seen shortly WITHOUT an appointment and pay the bill out of pocket and the doctor would come to your house if needed, to a situation where many of those who have health insurance cannot find a doctor, either they are “not accepting new patients” or they don’t accept the insurance you offer. Walk in patients are out of luck now, if you don’t have an appointment you must either go to an urgent care clinic or the emergency room or just stay home.
The next “solution” planned is “single payer” which will mean that everyone is on a medicaid plan and you will see the “providor” assigned to you after waiting so long it will make the current VA medical system look like paradise on Earth. Then when you finally see someone the odds are that you will wind up worse off than if you had simply taken a stiff drink of Rock and Rye and gone to bed. At least you might get some rest that way so that your body would have an opportunity to heal. Sitting in a waiting room for hours after waiting a long, long time for an appointment to sit in the waiting room will make a well person sick. Understanding what is really going on will make you puke.
In my opinion, Claire Wolfe is correct “America is at that awkward stage. It’s too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.”
