I’ll bet that Brat soon starts attracting much more money to his campaign.

I heard radio host, author and political commentator, Laura Ingraham, who campaigned for winning Tea Party Congressional Candidate (Virginia) Dave Brat, say on Fox last night that the head of the Tea Party Patriots organization, Jenny Beth Martin, would NOT help Brat, in fact she would NOT even take Brat’s phone calls.

This woman pays herself– using Tea Party donations– 9 times more than she spent on behalf of Tea Party Candidate Matt Bevin who lost to RINO Mitch McConnell.

She draws a salary as president of the Tea Party Patriots’ nonprofit arm — getting more than $272,000 in the 2012 fiscal year, according to the group’s most recent tax filing.
She also gets money for “strategic planning” ($120,000.00 between 7/2013 and 5/2014).

Before you donate to the Tea Party Patriots or any other so-called national Tea Party group, read the articles I’ve posted links to below. You could be giving your hard-earned money to a scam organization. Give directly to the candidate and/or your LOCAL Tea Party/Liberty group.

For more information on the Tea Party Patriots and other Tea Party groups, read these articles:

Yeah, the only support the Tea Party offered was votes at the polling station. Imagine that.

Truth in the article, but I don’t think slamming Matt Kibbe is the way to go. Matt is the real deal, and an ally of ours.

the DC world loves to do the finger pointing game. Doesn’t matter. Most groups thought investing in a race against the 2nd ranking guy was a bad investment. Few saw this as a realistic possibility. None of these orgs supported Boehner’s opponent either.

Bottom line, groups like FreedomWorks have been moving the ball in the right direction and have helped motivate voters and train organization to help pave the way for this.

There does seem to be some bad apples among groups with Tea Party in their name...not that they are ill-willed but they have a lot of people profiting from donations and money is not getting to the grassroots. More scrutiny is needed in a few cases.

The establishment includes some national Tea Party organizations. They were endorsing McConnell in Kentucky or staying out of races. They didn’t vet or know some of the candidates who ran against Lindsey Graham, John Boehner and other races. They are not doing a good job of trying to win.

I would suggest that any FReepers take a long, hard look at FreedomWorks before helping them in any way. This “grass-roots” organization is filled with lobbyists and I haven’t trusted them ever since Dick Armey got a 8 million dollar severance package from the organization.

Independence Hall Tea Party has no feedback mechanism it is 100% Top Down

There is not even a blog to discuss topics of mutual Interest
it has turned into a Local Radio promotional arm of WPHT

We had a 2 other 100% FM conservative radio stations for 18onths
the Independence Hall Tea party stayed with Michael Smerconish and WPHT as they Threw off air Beck Hannity Rush.

Recent election they attacked 100% conservative candidates Picking friends then Go on Fox..Talk how great they are..

They Give out Awards on 4th of July to You Guessed it WPHT radio personalities..

They have new year Historic re-enactments with same radio personality annually

We stay with the 13 TP Local Organizations in my County.

We recently had the State & County GOP send candidates from harrisburg to run against District Tea Party Committeeman. They gave free Printing mailings events sponsored with funding of State GOP and County Office. Tea party won 82-18

The County GOP does zip for voter education

The TEA movement has no central organization any more than the colonial militia did. Like the militia of old, the TEA folks put down their work and showed up when needed with their own tools (votes) and wits. When the job was done they went home and back to work.
This is lost on those who only think in terms of structured political parties with platforms set in stone. This concept is what confounded the British generals who accused the militia of not fighting fairly, i.e. not fighting in a way in which the Brits had an advantage.

The only TEA party happened in Boston harbor 200 years ago. I am beyond sick of the “TEA Party Leaders”. Drop it. We are conservatives, constitutionalist, and patriots. We need no leaders. We need to stand together and through the bums out.

Jmho

Just heard Britt Hume's definition of amnesty on Rush's show. My definition:

If you came to the US illegally, and the law is changed to allow you to stay, that is amnesty. It is forgiveness of the illegal act of coming to the US. You can pardon the offense of illegal entry, but that doesn't mean you get to stay. It just means you stay out of jail before getting kicked out.

Someone let Britt know.

Guess I’m just stoopid.

The article states: “And Dave Brat... staged the huge upset without any help from major Tea Party organizations.”

The article also states: “A Tea Party candidate soundly defeated House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va...”

Well, which is it?

The Tea Party is about finding candidates not beholden to any political cronies in Washington.

Brat's so Tea Party he doesn't even have cronies in the Tea Party!

I only found out about Brat a few days ago from NumbersUSA, and I checked out his website and sent him a hundred bucks. I plan to send him another hundred sometime down the road.

It's a shame these people are such Johnny-come-latelies for this guy.

"Yeah, yeah, me too, isn't it great "our" candidate won???"

Meanwhile, the Dems will be making this the theme song for this race.

PING!

Only send $ to your candidate! That’s the only way to be sure they’re actually getting the money.

We don’t need 3rd parties to siphon off their cut before they help our candidates.

Jenny Beth Martin would not even take Brats call.
Plus Tea Party Patriots give very little to candidates.

Summary of article:

The voting block that purposely avoids organization
did not organize fundraising

The voting block’s guy didn’t get much money from the voting block to get the votes that he got from the voting block.

Do I have this right?
