Sen. John Cornyn criticized President Obama for creating a human magnet with his unlawful approach to immigration enforcement, but admitted that Americans had a duty to care for the children that were flooding into the country.
They need to be taken care of, I mean theyve been left, basically dumped at Americas doorstep, and we need to treat them compassionately we need to make sure they get the care they need, Cornyn explained to reporters on Capitol Hill on Tuesday afternoon.
Cornyn pointed out that children as young as four years old had traveled as many as 1,200 miles, suffering horrific conditions on their journey to America.
If the message is that Americas door is open to anybody and everyone who wants to come here, people are going to flood in, Cornyn said. In this case some of the most vulnerable that you can imagine.
He also shared discussions he had with border patrol agents who were worried about 200 sex offenders mixing in with the population of 49,000 detained immigrants since last year.
Cornyn did not say whether or not the children should be deported.
I think we need to make sure theyre OK now, said Cornyn adding that they should be probably be reunited with family members.

yeah preach that brother!
It would be no.6; but I doubt anyone is interested in the nightlife of mountain raccoons that like their backs scratched while they eat dog food and then jump into the lawn pond to play with ping pong balls...naahhhh
Just bus them all to the Catholic churches.
The Catholic Absps, Bishops and Priests have been pushing for amnesty for illegal aliens for many years and have even sheltered some in the sanctuaries of church properties.
...I know I’ll probably be flamed for that...
I totally second that emotion! How is it possibly justifiable that WE have to care for another country’s unwanted juveniles?
And, everyone lying about this will be complicit in the harm that may come to these children. They are being dispersed across the country:
***
Not to mention the disease and chaos they will disperse throughout the country, which is all part of the plan to fundamentally change this nation. Bid farewell to the rule of law and to an orderly society.
“As a solution, I would suggest that the states where they are now located take custody of the children and go to state court and petition to have parenteral rights revoked based on child abuse and abandonment. If the parents want them, they should be allowed to return home but if not, they should be made available for adoption. This would be a humane way to deal with the issue and would discourage the practice. It would also defeat the main objective which is having a family member gain residency to facilitate chain migration.”
There are 2 billion children in the world that could fall under this humanitarian way to handle them.
Are you really crazy enough to wish to embrace this?
Got news for you: WE CANNOT TAKE CARE OF THE WORLD’S POPULATION.
>> No need to go there <<
Glad to see that at least SOMEBODY around here seems to know about Jonathon Swift’s preferred solution to the “excess children” crisis!
No, Cornyn is a real RINO.
I don't know about you or your parents, but most parents I know would do almost anything to prevent the parent child relationship being severed. My view is that faced with the real prospect of loosing their child, most parents would choose to have them returned. Generally, when the cost is greater than the benefit, the questionable behaiver is avoided.
Obviously a person who can conjur up a vision of two billion children decending on this country en masse is too advanced for me. I yield to your superior powers of persuasion.
