DETROIT -
A man is in the hospital after he got into a car crash, but it wasn't the crash that injured him. Instead, he was severely beaten afterwards on a nearby street corner.
Nathanial Szczerbinski admitted to Local 4 he caused the wreck because he was driving the wrong way down an unfamiliar Detroit street. He said he stopped and started to turn around when he was struck by a Chevy van. As Szczerbinski got out, he was confronted by the three guys who were in the van.
Police sources told Local 4 the men quickly went on the attack, repeatedly punching and kicking Szczerbinski.
The violent attack brings back memories of the assault on Steve Utash, the man who was severely beaten by an angry mob after hitting a boy on the east side of Detroit by accident.
Now, Szczerbinski and his family are focused on his recovery and they said they're hopeful police will track down those responsible.
One man is reportedly in custody, potentially facing assault and ethnic intimidation charges.
Proof exisits! However, it hasn’t yet risen.
Do I really to add '/s'?
Detroit is a glorious example of the future Obamamerika!
Not even to get some mango?
Years ago, in far rougher times and places than I frequent now, I remember answering an alarm at 3:00AM and driving down Mount Elliot around Warren Ave. There was a rowdy crowd standing in the street and a red light I just cruised right through, slowly enough not to hurt anyone, fast enough to get the "H" out of there for my own safety.
They call it situational awareness now, back then I think they called it common sense. Of course, I could be mistaken. It could've also be a bunch of red-neck kids drunk and high standing in the street anywhere USA, do you stop? Or roll through with caution and enough speed to make it on your way?
They give out tickets to people who don't stop at accidents and other things, I've gotten tickets in the past. Isn't that the better outcome?
Welcome to the third world comrade!
Only 3?
This must have been on the “good” side of Detroit because the last time I read about a (non-AA) driver involved in an accident, there were almost a dozen AA’s waiting on that corner to beat them to death.
Driving in Detroit .... yep, there is a crime against common sense.
Living in Tennessee, and being a handgun permit holder, I can legally carry a long gun (actually as many as I want) with a loaded magazine in my vehicle - but no round can be chambered. So for me, I carry an M4 carbine, a Beretta 9mm, an Uzi carbine, and then whatever my chosen carry gun of the day might be. I obey all traffic signals and signs regardless of who might be hanging around... My doors are always locked and I'm scanning 360 all of the time anyway. If someone wants to try me, I'll oblige them to death... I don't back away, and have no duty to do so under Tennessee Code Annotated.
Once again, NO COMMENTS ALLOWED at the SOURCE
I like the PRO GOVERNMENT EXTREMISTS angle.
Yep, it’s kind of a one-way street.
