Wow -- Can't wait for Wolf Blitzer to interrupt the news to disclose these devastating poll numbers for Obama - you know, like he did when GWB hit 38% approval. Yeah .. good times.

The 35% of respondents who Strongly Disapprove of Obama will be strongly motivated to vote against Democratic candidates in November.

Of course, the 15.6% of respondents who Strongly Approve of Obama will vote FOR Democrats; however, since almost all of those people live in California, it won’t make a big difference in the overall Congressional and Senate results.

(Fieldmarshal, a favorite Tom Selleck line involved, so I thought of you :^)

Hey, CEW -- see the poll. What was it you accused me of posting on another thread where you SUPPORT the Republican Establishment's reluctance to impeach Obama for fear that it might rally Democrats?

When you said you dealt with reality, that any attempt to impeach was doomed, and you came unglued when I claimed that the REALITY is that at best 45 percent of real on-the-ground Americans support the Obama clown? That most Americans despise Obama (not to mention intrusive government) and would be fired up by an impeachment attempt from Republicans, even if it didn't succeed?

"Deliberate lies" and "low level analyses," you accused me of, for posting such blasphemy! {^)

Wait. I'm sure you'll advise that attempts to impeach Obama might raise those approval numbers 15 or 20 points, so Republicans are "wiser" to shrink away from any attempt to impeach him, that impeachment, let alone conviction, were too improbable to even try.

Risk is the price you pay for opportunity. Right-leaning Tom Selleck said it enough times in an assortment of dramas that the truth of it sunk in! {^)

CEW, when the Republican party declines as "too risky" the opportunity to nail a fraudulent president, it forfeits opportunity to turn this nation around.

It is time for us to start betting on Americans. They're smarter than we think.

Per my reasoning, 37%, possibly 36% is the bottom. It can go no lower because that is the totality of the left wing hardcore base.

Exactly.

It's not and never was up to the politicians. Unaccountable politicians is why we are where we are. It's up to the American people.

That is the hard, cold truth.

I think that is a mistake.

If he escapes impeachment for the most egregious crimes ever committed by an American President, it throws out the viability of the Impeachment Process and sets the stage for an even more dangerous succcessor.

He MUST be impeached. The left has so many “martyrs” one more less is irrelevant.

It certainly won’t happen if we sit back and say it won’t.

It’s beginning to be evident that Obama is more focused on his socialist and personal power agenda than he is on his job approval.

I’m assuming he forewarned Diane Feinstein so she could act appropriately shocked, and so the Dems would have some plausible deniability.

Megan Kelly’s piece last night on Obama’s illegal child dumps on Brewster’s Arizona and who knows where else are another Obama tie in to wrecking our sovereignty.

I fully appreciate what you’re saying (i.e., we shouldn’t give up on the possibility of removing him from office). However, in view of the nature of this “historic presidency”, its relatively short time horizon, and the Republican fear factor, I just don’t see impeachment in the cards under any circumstances. More likely that an agreement would be struck to push him aside for the remainder of his presidency.

Just my humble opinion and I would be overjoyed to be proven wrong.

I could live with that, then try the rat for treason afterwards.

There can be no doubt that the liberal media would long ago have demanded impeachment for a Republican president engaged in such malfeasance, lawlessness and treachery as Obama has been. No doubt whatsoever. No Republican president could ever have survived in office this long under similar circumstances.

That isn't true. Reagan's lowest approval rating was 35% in Gallup, this just before the nation came out of Carter recession. Clinton's lowest approval rating was 37%

You are correct. I shot from the hip. Complete picture:

It is uncanny how Obama's trajectory mimics Carter's.

I still think you’re wrong. I am not against risk at all. I do think you pick the hills you charge up wisely. So your “risk”argument is a straw argument.

I am all for fighting Obama tooth and nail, but on the grounds that’s he’s a statist liberal and that big gov liberalism fails. If we do it on persoal grounds, we have gained nothing philosophically.

Try and lay a glove on that.

We want a disgraced impotent resident.

Exactly. Impeachment and removal from office are simply not going to happen. Let that POS fester in office.

We don't have the numbers to make removal from office happen. Democrats would send their first-born children into a shredder before they'd ever turn on Obama. The 2/3 Senate majority just isn't going to be there.

There is one way impeachment is possible -- if Democrats suffer a big enough loss in November and enough are willing to ditch Obama to save their party.

Never happen. In a sane world, it might, but no one can accuse modern dems of being sane or rational. Bad as he is, Obama is God to democrats and a vote to remove him would be deemed heresy.

They have done that already. We must try our best to get this rat impeached and tried for treason. He is a traitor who is KNOWLINGLY destroying America. Its his objective.

Does not matter - The Dems are doing plenty of cemetery campaigning, digging up support - because it gets such a good response.

It doesn’t sound great for Obama but it sounds absolutely AWFUL for the USA. If 38 percent still approve of this bizarre imitation of a world leader that is a very high percentage of idiocy. It would mean that well over one third of this nation is pathetically stupid.
