U.S. Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has told people treating him at an American military medical facility in Germany that he was tortured, beaten and held in a cage by his Taliban captors in Afghanistan after he tried to escape, a senior U.S. official said Sunday.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss what Bergdahl has revealed about the conditions of his captivity. The New York Times first reported on the matter.
The official said it was difficult to verify the accounts Bergdahl has given since his release a week ago.
[....]
Military doctors at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center say that while Bergdahl is physically able to travel he's not yet emotionally prepared to be reunited with his family. He has not yet spoken to his family.

On another thread, a Freeper who has worked extensively in Iraq and Afghanistan remarked that the first and most definitive proof that Bergdahl went to become a Taliban, is that he is still alive.
Apparently, unless you are one of them, they do NOT keep you alive.

The man should be thankful he lived through the ordeal. 99.9 % of the other prisoners did not.

By way of that, I don't think anyone was executed for his crime of being a little too self-indulgent at the expense of 50 billion people getting vaporized. He outed #5 purely by accident:
and was almost caught twice, voted president, captured by the cylons, tortured by the cylons, made into a Jim Jones but without the suicide complex and lots of sex partners, then turned into a good guy again. And all of that time, there was this:
Not bad, eh?

We need to take the focus off Bergdahl right now and concentrate on Obama’s treasonous act of releasing 5 terrorists who have vowed to destroy us.
Even if Bergdahl had been a paradigm of combat heroism, the focus would rightly be directed at this treasonous act.
Everyone, please, please call your congressmen to demand impeachment.

Wait for what? Did the guy walking to the helicopter appear to you to be in poor physical shape? Do you think all his platoon-mates are lying (why?)? Why is the US government breaking from tradition and not letting this guy see family or even speak to reporters?
And why were members of his platoon forced to sign non-disclosure agreements? Because this administration wanted to keep it all hush hush. Obama probably realized right away that he could release some of his fellow American-haters using this guy.

Funny how he couldn’t speak or understand English, but could write the special forces a note. I’ve been saying that all along. Just one more lie to place at the liar-in-chief’s feet.
