You’re making the wrong argument. The LEO’s refusal to participate in the event is justified by his moral conviction. What should concern you, however, is the statement released by the dept declaring his beliefs against sodomy to be that of “bias and bigotry”. Rationalizing this type of tyranny through impartiality is a sure way to Hell. |
The replies on this thread are all over the map. From the officer should not be forced into working this march (No, an officer must first protect his dignity, his faith and family first) to it's OK to work this parade. (An officer’s duty is to uphold and enforce the law for EVERYONE, not for who they agree with.)

How about letting the ones who support the gay parade police it and those who don’t want to participate, not have to? Isn’t that what they call Liberty?
