Has there ever before been an Obama scandal that was still getting worse by the hour, days after the story broke? The new lie about the Taliban supposedly threatening Obama into violating U.S. law lasted, what, two hours tops before it fell apart?
Is there anything the White House has told us, from last weekend through yesterday, that actually held up? I'm having a hard time thinking of anything they said that turned out to be completely true. Bergdahl wasn't captured in battle, he didn't serve with distinction, he wasn't dying in captivity, Obama didn't have to break the law to complete the deal without notifying Congress, the military command and intelligence community didn't support the trade, the government of Qatar won't be "monitoring" the released Taliban commanders, either Harry Reid or Obama is lying about when Reid was brought into the loop...
And now we're getting word that members of Congress - not all of them Republicans - are furious that the Administration has been, shall we say, less than forthcoming to them in briefings. I suspect we'll be hearing more about that as endangered purple-state Democrats see their latest round of internal polling this weekend.
Meanwhile, every new development in the story - right up to the bombshell allegations that Bergdahl converted to Islam and was collaborating with the enemy, who provided him with firearms - has slammed into Obama like a right cross landing on a palooka with a glass jaw. Now, I'm not sure I buy this particular report, which reads as a bit sketchy and relies on too many third-hand sources for my taste, but the significant thing is that the Administration seems characteristically unprepared for it. Just like the Benghazi event, the biggest thing that comes to the forefront is the absolute cluelessness and incompetence of the Obama administration.
They STILL haven’t learned that information is global and they cannot tightly control it and shape it to their whims.
That alone shows how dangerously unmoored our country has been these last 5 years. We have no competent leadership.
And let’s not be completely partisan here. There are Republicans who, if they get their turn at the helm would be equally clueless about how open information is nowadays. There are just as many clueless dinosaurs in the Republican establishment.
The difference is that this administration was sold as young, hip, and aware of modern day realities of communication. It is all the more shocking how retrograde they really are concerning PR and information gathering. They seem to be lost in the 1950’s somewhere in their thinking about such matters.
Hey, Barack Obama, the 1950’s called and they want their PR tactics and foreign policy back!
Oh, great. I guess it's a good thing we had a guy like 0bama who could parachute in and fight off the ravening Taliban hordes with a pencil sharpener to effect this guy's escape.
There is a certain class of military stories that notoriously start out, "Now, this is no s***."

They said that the White House had to make the exchange quickly because the Taliban is fractured and they could not be sure that everyone around Bergdahl with an AK-47 would go along with a leadership decision to release Bergdahl.
I will BET that the Obama people put out a LIE that he converted and was able to carry an AR-15 just to SMEAR ALL of us as LIARS.

No evidence he converted to Islam? Then why did his father address him as such?
Uh, that one came from an intel group (Eclipse) that was subcontracted by the Pentagon. While additional confirmation is needed, it has a degree of credibility.
This is why I feel the way I do about this. When she asked these men “Raise your hand if you think he deserted” and every one of them instantly raised their hand. Then she instructed “Raise your hand if you think he should be put on trial” and every hand instantly went up.
If I have to choose how to view this, I am going to view it through their eyes. They were there.
We will be lucky to be alive in two years unless somebody gets a keeper for the idiot.

Will impeachment mean that he goes scott-free and there will be no inquiries into why he deceived the American people, repeatedly? There were four dead Americans in Benghazi and several dead Americans in the Bergdahl case.
So justice will NOT be served and crimes will never be divulged but buried for good?
And if it were ever determined that he was guilty of misdemeanors or worse, will his henchmen (sorry, his cabinet members) also be held responsible like they did in the Nuremberg trials with another “leader”?

I waited this long for the Clinton’s to go to jail. Notice no investigation of the missing dept of state billions or their foundation, not to mention all the military stuff to china and the rest of the crap.
So let’s not get out hopes up.
That's what's so fun about this situation. The lies are coming so fast and are so weak and transparent, that inertia is keeping the last one still going when the next one emerges. Some people are even two lies behind when the memo catches up to them.
That just piles onto Obama's catastrophe.

In the current circle of off-camera people in and around the White House, his look wouldn't stand out as even remotely abnormal.
That's pretty much your standard coffee house academician turned political activist look and they're running the country these days.
I don’t see Obama getting out of this one...unless he throws someone under the bus. And that person will be Bergdahl. His next big lie will be “we got Bergdahl back to try him in front of a military tribunal.”
He gets aquitted. Obama’s home free. He gets convicted(unlikely), Obama’s good too.
Either way it really doesn’t matter. By that time Obama will be out of office.
Thing is about all these lies... there are endless variations and possibilities, limited only by the imagination.
Compare to the truth. That would be boring, since there is only one.
I'm waiting for Obama to say that he couldn't inform Congress because they couldn't be trusted to keep the secret because they disagreed with him and would leak it to undermine him -- because he's black or something.

Here is a challenge to anyone willing to do a bit of research.
First watch the Megyn Kelley interview with Bergdahl’s platoon mates.
Then go watch all of the youtube videos of the MSNBC crowd, the White House spokesman, The President himself, John Kerry, Harry Reid, Susan Rice, Bergdahl's father and all the media Obama Admin propaganda operatives.
Then determine for yourself who is
a) sane
b) rational
c) objective
d) truthful
E) honorable
f) psychopathic
g) incompetent or lacking in leadership skills
I have done so, using the objective criteria set forth by the critics of these soldiers and all I can say is that their detractors have made a huge miscalculation here because those detractors seem to be irrational, of questionable sanity , agenda driven, dishonorable liars who are trying to spin this in their favor at any cost to cover for leaders in the White house who are incompetent and lack leadership skills and who are operating from very questionable motives
There seems to a lot of psychological projection going on with these detractors
Do the research, it's really stunning and more than a little disturbing
