Approach to soda, to be patterned after tobacco

Upon a declaration of a “war” against the product, advocates against the consumption of soda state that it should also include in its labels the risks for developing diseases such as obesity and diabetes. By doing so, they will be using an approach quite similar to the tobacco’s.

I'm all for freedom and small government... BUT... if we as a society have to pay for the health problems caused by obesity, then soda should be banned.

The best diet includes no sugar, no grains, no processed foods. The problem is Americans on average consume 145 lbs of sugar a year.

Yes, indeed. It's pitiful to stroll through a mall nowadays and see so many fat people trying to waddle around. Most of these people are miserable, but so ignorant that they don't realize that they don't have to eat like pigs, that they can exercise and that they can have normal bodies. And, their horrible habits are reinforced by folks (usually other ignorant fat people) who tell them that they don't deserve better and that there isn't anything they can do to escape their misery.

Take care of yourselves, folks. Nobody else can do it for you. You don't have to look like a pig. Don't listen to those who tell you that it's okay to be a pig.
