Pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine's Luhansk region forced the surrender of two military bases after heavy fighting -- a border guard base and a National Guard base. The Ukrainian border service announced personnel at its border base had been "redeployed to safer places" after sustained attacks.

The National Guard base sustained heavy fire, including assaults by rocket-propelled grenades and machine gun fire, after a demand to surrender was rejected, the National Guard said. Three National Guard soldiers were injured, and all the vehicles on the base were destroyed, as well as the base headquarters.

As a result of the Ukraine soldiers abandoning the border around 20 trucks and five armored personnel carriers crossed the border ‘from Russia’ into the Sverdlovsk region of Luhansk, Ukraine, to bring in Russian and Chechen fighters to reinforce pro-Russia terrorists there, a report from Ukraine’s TSN.UA said on Tuesday.

Let’s all remember this great victory.

Because when Ukraine goes in hard and heavy, all we will here is, “they are killing civilians”.

The only effective units Kiev can field, even now, are the Right Sector Militias, and the Air Force.

The Air Force took a BIG hit today, losing at least one, and possibly two jets, and three confirmed helicopters around Sloviansk. This represents a big part of the total force they have been able to deploy, so far.

Meanwhile Obama declares financial war on France - fines BNP Paribas & threatens Frances credit rating...Opps...Obama once more showing the US hand in Ukraine that it has more than vested interest and control of Ukraine when it goes after a country daring to continue business with Russia.

Obama has completely been unmasked once again. So who's war is this really!.........Russia pulls back from the border and Obama tells Nato to draw closer to Ukraines border and offers Keiv army further military assistance.... and this while his man Porsh bombs and commits atrocities against his own people and the US praises their “restraint”????? ....meanwhile Putin continues to plead for talks and the US refuses.

Whatever it is that's at stake for Us/Obam in this mess he's creating in Ukraine, and Internationally, is surely far more than he's letting on or anyone else to make such profound bad judgments..... But the Eastern defenders know all to well what they are fighting...and who.

Kiev Gov. cannot sustain the air defense as it's loosing it's fleets, just as you said.

Just read the “corridor” is now completely open for supplies and medical assistance and any troops Putin wants to send in......Ukrainians on the border are happily saying “ There’s no longer a border here”....

Rumor mill...next no-fly zone.

RT @PaulaSlier_RT 28,000 Russians signed petition calling on @KremlinRussia_E to impose a no-fly zone over #Lugansk and #Donetsk

Wonder how many minutes flying time on afterburners it is.

~...and then threatening them with 5 years in prison if they refuse to go.
BTW, do you know the penalty for avoiding the draft is in Russia?~

None in practice. It is technically a crime but judges would use any loop in a case to acquite a person. Prosecutors are fully aware of it and rarely brings such a charges.
Not to mention there are numerous legal ways to dodge draft in Russia.
All you need is a wish, a 50+ IQ or a lawyer to substitute for a lack of brain.
