Acting as a stenographer on Wednesday's NBC Today, chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd parroted the Obama administration's new attack against critics of the Bowe Bergdahl prisoner exchange: "They did not expect this backlash on Bergdahl himself. I've had a few aides describe it to me as, 'We didn't know that they were going to swift boat Bergdahl'....
MSNBC quickly seized on the "swift boat" line, with Last Word fill-in host Ari Melber declaring Tuesday night: "We're gonna look at the right-wing play book for the newly released American POW, a wounded man who isnt even out of the hospital yet. Swift boat first, ask questions later."
Are the Daily Mail and WaPo right wing?

Wounded? He looked pretty healthy in the Taliban video.
He isn't wounded. He's just depressed because his friends turned him over to his enemy.
Todd has his head so far up Obama’s ass, his hearing is apparently way too muffled to hear the voices of Bergdahl”s fellow soldiers who said he was indeed a deserter.
I bet Bergdahl’ fellow soldiers didn’t expect him to turn traitor on them or the noncommander in thief to celebrate him.
How many times do these “reporters” get it wrong before they are out of work?
Yep, Kerry is pure traitor trash.
You know Bergdahl will be declared unfit to stand trial, given a discharge and receive full disability and benefits of E-6.
More drivel from the usual sources.
Those are puzzling numbers. Only 26% agree that he was a deserter (which is puzzling, since that now seems pretty well established), but 48% think that Obama shouldn’t have negotiated his release. So 22% think that even though Bergdahl wasn’t a deserter, Obama shouldn’t have negotiated his release.
That’s one of the most poorly constructed polls I’ve ever seen. Some intern must have designed it. The third and fourth choices are non-responsive to the question, which requires a “yes” or “no” response.
The promotion was automatic, due to time-in-grade.
My understanding is that he would have been “promoted” again (in the next few months?) had he not been released.
Now his own troop members are “critics”.
Obama is Obozo the clown.
My understanding is that his promotion came June 2014. We are only a the 4th day of June.
I think it was a dodge to keep from saying we traded 5 Taliban officials for a private.
The guy seeks no opinions on just about anything from folks in the know. They might (and probably would) disagree with him. Couldn’t have that.
Lest we forget the true context of the original Swift Boat controversy.
Vietnam vet John Kerry was trying to unseat sitting president GW Bush
by campaigning on his own “war record” vs Bush’s Air National Guard
record. This was after Kerry had supported Vietnam era draft dodger,
Bill Clinton, against sitting president GHW bush, a WWII fighter pilot.
Fellow swift boaters bitter over Kerry’s Congressional testimony
regarding the Vietnam War exposed Kerry’s minimal war time contribution. Kerry’s liberal supporters made Kerry out to be a
victim of “Swift Boating”. Kerry had brought it on himself.
And in 2010 their own internal investigation led them to believe he deserted.
The leftists at the Washington Times were playing games with the poll dividing the “No” votes. “Yes” was one choice, but they gave three choices that all amount to “No”.
Cleary, 97% chose “No” or some flavor of “No”.
Don’t forget the forged National Guard memos that were coordinated by Democrat operatives to get them to CBS and AP as an October Surprise.
