Acting as a stenographer on Wednesday's NBC Today, chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd parroted the Obama administration's new attack against critics of the Bowe Bergdahl prisoner exchange: "They did not expect this backlash on Bergdahl himself. I've had a few aides describe it to me as, 'We didn't know that they were going to swift boat Bergdahl'....
MSNBC quickly seized on the "swift boat" line, with Last Word fill-in host Ari Melber declaring Tuesday night: "We're gonna look at the right-wing play book for the newly released American POW, a wounded man who isn’t even out of the hospital yet. Swift boat first, ask questions later."
Susan Rice noted that he served with honor and distinction.
Can someone ask her a follow up and ask her specifically what in his record convinced her that he served with honor and distinction?
By “swift boat” they must mean “tell the truth”.
Just as was done with John Kerry.
Liberals really don’t like the truth. Kind of a vampire/sunlight thing.

Seems all the backlash is from his former squad mates and parents of the soldiers who died going out looking for him. The media just reports it. The WH whines about it.

Special forces found Bergdahl and captors but wouldn’t risk rescue for ‘deserter’

The Pentagon on several occasions had ground-level intelligence on where ArmySgt. Bowe Bergdahl was being held captive at various times — down to how many gunmen were guarding him — but special operations commanders repeatedly shelved rescue missions because they didn’t want to risk casualties for a man they believed to be a “deserter,” sources familiar with the mission plans said.
Commanders on the ground debated whether to pull the trigger on a rescue several times in recent years, according to one of the sources, a former high-level intelligence official in Afghanistan, who said the conclusion each time was that the prospect of losing highly trained troops was too high a price to pay for rescuing a soldier who walked away from his unit before being captured by the enemy.
A second source told The Washington Times that the rescue operation plans were “high risk” and became even less attractive in recent months when officials in the Pentagon’s Joint Special Operations Command grew convinced that the Taliban and the militant Haqqani network, whose operatives were holding Sgt. Bergdahl, were eager to cut a deal for his release.

I want the hear the White House explain what they mean by “Swift Boating.” If they have to explain themselves...they are losing.

Now we can see why they don’t want anyone on the ground in Benghazi to testify to Congress..or the people.
