He wasn’t kidnapped. He deserted and voluntarily went to the other side.
He is certainly NOT a Sergeant Nicholas Brody (the fictional Homeland marine who was captured and tortured) who went through hell in captivity.
I heard yesterday that his hometown was planning an “official welcome home party” on June 28 whether he’s there or not.
A small town welcomes home a deserter? Didn’t used to be that way. I am so disgusted......
This story reminds me of “ratboy” aka Johny Jihad (less known by his real name John Walker Lindh). The nickname was given to him by Michael Savage.
If this guy is indeed a traitor lets hope the is discredited as soon as possible.

My son was over there twice. If this had happened to him, being killed because of a traitorous POS, I don’t think I would ever have recovered from it. I feel deep sympathy for these soldiers’ families. It’s just too much suffering.

Obama did indeed use this scandal to try to hide another one. Obama has “progressed” from striving for base hits to mere foul balls.
It would be too much to hope that this guy was a deep cover plant (for our side), establishing street cred by feigning disillusionment and disloyalty, and then playing deserter.
After all, if Obama set him free, especially in exchange for the worst of the worst Gitmo prisoners, Occam’s Razor sez he’s bad news.
If I were one of these family members I might hold that hope just to keep sane, however. The alternative is that the USgov has been fully usurped by muslim terrorists. Oh wait...

Everyone is outraged because these Taliban were released. But, the group holding Bergdahl actually had little interest in releasing Taliban. They had their own guy in GITMO, and without his release, they would have just wanted more money.

I think it has. Early this morning, I emailed a few links from some far left rags to a far left loon liberal friend from university with a question “So was the trade of the 5 worst of the worst terrorists for one treasonous deserter worth it?” As a far left liberal, he can absolutely twist up anything in knots and defend it….in the style of a Lanny Davis defending the bent one. Well, so far this one has caused him to be absolutely speechless…….it’s just way too far out there as being indefensible. We all just have to make sure that it holds traction and stays that way forever…. because rest assured, it’s the kind of story that those with a vested interest in will ‘reinvent’ once things have settled down and they think that no one is paying attention.
I would be surprised if this pacifist, faux thrilled citizens comes off at all. Certainly, there will be protestors.
