WASHINGTON The United States Navy has denied an application from an outspoken atheist who sought to become a chaplain to the Godless in the military.
As previously reported, 38-year-old Jason Heap submitted his application last July, noting that he had earned masters degrees from both Oxford University and Brite Divinity School, with substantial experience in human resources. He also successfully completed the necessary paperwork and all the required physical tests.
Heap told reporters at that time that a position as chaplain would be a chance for him to give back to my country."

simply insane.
To be a chaplain you would need to believe in a higher power or deity, who created you.
This guy is a self serving, narcissistic, zealot in search of his own elevation and self importance.
Heap big jerk.
good for the navy. sounds like he would fit in an HR dept in a big company.
And the Godless need a "chaplain" why?
an atheist can do NONE of that...
Hillary’s Navy will approve of it.
Up is down.
At least there is one standard still standing in the Navy.
Some counselor he would be.

You sir are a joke and a poor one at that. Stay away from our military men and women......
Well since he was rejected...
...he got his wish!
What, pray tell, would he ever minister to anyone about?? There’s nothing to say if you believe in nothing.
this idiot thinks that the members of the military who believe in nothing need someone that they can talk to about nothing.
Well said. Atheists believe only in themselves.
Kind of like giving a flat-earther a job as an astronaut.
